Allow me to rephrase my previous tip. This place is a rip off, super high prices. $2.50 for a bottle of water = insane, even for the city . If you're new to the area and look like it, skip this place!
Skip buying NYU gear here, they're just as expensive , if not more expensive than the bookstore .
NYU discounts . A very disorganized store but the staff are determined to help you find what you need.
