Forrest Gump's Bench (former location)

The bench was located here only for the filming of the movie , on the north edge of Chippewa Square Park at the corner of W. Hull and Bull Sts. The bench was setting where the one way sign is located.

We stumbled on to this by chance, thus proving that it's so important to just take walks through new cities , like Savannah. We also passed a beautiful fountain and the girl scouts first location

Correct! The bench was only a movie fixture & is at the history museum . Benches around square pay homage to the design of the bench in Forrest Gump.

The Original Bench is at The Savannah History Museum (303 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard). Not far from the park .
