Lombardi's is not the best coal oven pizzeria in New York City , but it is the oldest, and the pizzas do not disappoint. Read more
Yes I fell in love with the official first US Pizzeria . The Margherita was just right, thin, not too saggy cheese and fills my tummy to th brim with only 1 slice! Will surely come back for more!
Great pizza . The small comes with about six slices but the sizes are pretty big. Cash only ! They do have an atm machine though & all parties must be present to be seated. Not a "meet up" spot.
Landmark NoLita restaurant serving coal-fired, thin-crust Neapolitan pizza since 1905, making it the first American Pizzeria . It's cash only , and sometimes there can be a wait but definitely worth it.
Excellent pizza!Loved the place and the food. One of the best pizzas that I've tried in NYC.The only bad thing is that you have to eat the pizza in paper plates, so it's not not comfortable .
The first pizzeria in America also serves amazing pizza . Whether the original margherita or the white sauce - both are brilliant. 3 small pizzas were still too much for 4 of us!
The "first pizza of New York" we had a large margarita pie w meatballs and it was great. The marinara sauce was delicious, as was the mozzarella and meatballs were awesome. Much better than Grimaldis.
New York's the first pizza place is what they say. Its worth to come, at least once, for tourists . If you d like to try this and that but you are not a big eater, order half and half . Cash only .
I have to come here every time I'm in town . Yes it is very touristy because it is the first pizzeria in NY but who cares pizza here is great. It is cash only so make sure you bring some.
First Pizzeria in NYC. A must go at SOHO.
Trust me when I tell you this is the best pizza I have ever had in my life!! Amazing balls of the meat as well !! Will be back!
Pizza , pizza ,pizza ... Best in #NYC. There's always a wait- get a pitcher of sangria at the bar in the meantime. Antipasta app is great.
CASH ONLY . Forget the tourist wait & call in. Pick up in 15-20 min (go to the back to the kitchen) and go eat in comfort of your home/park next door/Eliz st garden block away...
A pepperoni pizza ! Simple but delicious! the thin crust is authentic to the ny slice. And the cheese was high quality! And it all smelled amazing
Hello tourist ! Try a pepperoni and sausage pizza for a great pie to share - might be crowded but it's still great pizza .
One of my favorite pizza places . Don't forget if you order multiple pies to ask them to stager them. That way you can try each one fresh out of the oven. Cash only .
This is where New York pizza was born. The pizzaiolos of olde New York learned their craft from Mr. Lombardi and his coal oven before they opened their own spots. Read more
This is a small, simple menu, but it has great options. Try the clam pizza ! Great location, and the ambience makes it the quintessential Little Italy spot.
Classic pizza pies . Don't mess up the base with too many toppings. You just need a few to perfect it. Try the mushrooms and pancetta combo
One of the best Pizza in NY, try the margherita pizza it's so good ????????????
Combining 2 of the most classic Italian foods into one is genius. A slice of their decadent meatball pizza is a must-have; we love that it's balanced with thin, crunchy crust instead of a doughy base.
not just a spot for tourists but for real Italian food fans and Italians alike, well worth the wait every time for the first pizzeria in NYC and also the best!
Best pizza in town !!! Did you know this was the first pizzería in america an it's the only one with license for coal oven? The actual owner used to work for Lombardi they opened ob 1905
For a non-New York resident this pizza joint lives up to its status. Known to be one of the best NY pizza places , the lines out the door and constant crowds give you the hint. Any pizza order will do.
It's a Wednesday and we came here around 7:45 pm. Waited in line for 0 minutes. I obviously don't know whether this is the best pizza on the planet but this is certainly the best pizza I've ever had.
This place is a tourist hot spot for a reason. Great pizza . It's the quintessential NY slice, non of that fancy Neopolitan pizza , this is pure NYC.
One of the NYC classic pizza places ! Delicious crust, and really good salad . Be forewarned, cash only .
A cosy place with delicious pizza . You shoul try. Also it is said to be the first pizzeria in the US.
Their pizza options are great! Make sure you're not so hungry yet when you get to Lombardi's coz you might have to wait for seats. The place is always full.
Worth the 30 minute wait if you're with out of town guests. The bruschetta was heaped w chopped, garlicky tomatoes . Get a large pie, and consider 1/2 pepperoni & sausage , 1/2 fresh ricotta . Super yum!
Everyone is saying they were full off one slice but I was able to eat half a large pizza ! The pepperonis have these beautifully delicious pools of grease that I could not stop eating.
For the ultimate date night , ask to be seated downstairs. The tables are practically inside the restrooms ; the sound of the hand dryer and the soft bleach smell goes wonderfully with the famous pizza .
It might've been the best pizza in NY at one time, but it definitely isn't now. You're not getting what you paid for at this place. The pizza wilts when you hold it and the bottom is wet !
IMHO Lombardi's is slipping. I gave it two last trys - I'm over it. It's mediocre at best now, guess it seems like they don't need to try as hard. Tourists will enjoy it. Prince st pizza FTW
It’s good but not amazing. Margherita with premium toppings is the way to go. We also added ricotta . Bruschetta is pretty good too.
Really as good as it gets for old world thin crust pizza in NYC. You cant go wrong with any of the pies at this place. VERY Touristy !
Felt great to be in the first pizzeria in the US. Ricotta is a must have topping. I got the margarita pizza with ricotta and meatballs-- amazing!!
We had a large (8 slices) with half wild mushrooms and sweet red Peppers , and the other half with garlic spinach and homemade meatballs . It was DELICIOUS!!!!!!
The only thing better than a NY style pizza ,is an original Italian pie???? Only place you'll find one,(and they are huge)is Lombardis downtown.????????????????????
Our fave in NYC! We come here every time we visit. Any of the pizza is good. Fair warning - it’s cash only .
America’s 1st pizzeria ! It’s a bit of a tourist trap and the service is slow but the big pizzas served above the table are great fun ????
I don't think the quality of the pizza is worth the wait. It was really good and tasty but I feel like there might be other gourmet pizzerias that do not have long queues
Great Family Joint to come to ..I've been eating this pizza since I was a kid and love Johnny ..pizza and crust is very tasty
Haven't tried others places yet to compare, but the food and service here was so great, i'll probably never eat pizza anywhere else again. Very true to my memories of Italy!
It's as delicious as billed, and equally historic. But, their policies are as well ... come flush with cash, 'cause that's the only form of payment they accept! And, the pies run +$20 ea.
Artichoke is still the shit. 'Nuff said. BUT workers saw us eyeing the shit out of someone's cream soda drink , so my friends & I got one on the house! Nice staff , good food- it's just love y'all!
we walked and walked and when we got here, it actually lived up to the hype. Great pizza . only complaint was the water they served. Tepid and had a funny taste. Get wine instead
Margherita pizza is simple, delicious, and easy to make! Just pick up a few ingredients and you can make your own right at home! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tFCtiQbAKg Read more
Established 1905 and operated until 1984. In 1994, a friend of the family reopened a block away. The original sold tomato pies wrapped in paper, tied with a string and claims to have invented NY style
Grandmas meatballs were so good. Pizza was great but did not meet the hype. I would recommend the clam pie and cake boss pie with prosciutto . Pies are not very big and the value is not great.
The Burger, the Colony (red), and the Emmy (white) are the standards... absolutely delicious. Looking forward to trying everything else - Corbin Blankenstein
Can’t go wrong with anything you order. The tomato sauce is the real star of these slices! Make sure to bring in some cash. - Shinnawy
Classic artichoke slice is amazing! Huge portions for $5, and it's great for late night drunchies. - Caroline Deng
If you love rice pudding and want to try other flavors of rice pudding, this is for you! Fun, clean atmosphere. The staff will let you sample some interesting flavors. Give it a try!! Arroz con leche! - Stella Ricci
Straight out of italy! Excellent aperol spritz and gelato! - Kaitlyn Watson
My favorite coffee shop in soho it's a bakery as well and they serve illy coffee!!! It's also a super cute spot - Doraly Pantaleon
