A really great sightseeing day going to Schönbrunn Palace , then Palm House, then zoo which was bigger then expected. Loads of animals, closest I ever saw a panda , and first time seeing polar bears !
Vast european zoo with a usual list of animals to see. Beautifully built-in enclosures and a forest section with wolves and a lynx. Big cat enclosures have the feeding time notes on them.
Works 365 days a year. Also on holidays! :-) perfect getaway for little ones and animal lovers :-) not that far from center. Well worth a visit!
Literally the best place in whole Vienna! Guaranteed happy times and if you are first time here, make sure you come early because the place is huge! Meerkats are adorable!
The best of the best. Get ready to spend about 3 hours there if you want to see everything. But very very nice!
A huge place that our tour lasted 5 hours. Spare one day for just the zoo . It will be a really different experience with a koala , panda , red panda , huge insects...
Aaawh, that was just great!! We had loads of fun and the animals were so beautiful and happy! You have to visit the zoo !! We loved it!!
One of the best zoo 's i ever entered in my life, there's a lot of wonderful animals and plants from all over the world, highly recommended.
Pandas !!! Beautifully designed zoo with lots of space to wonder around with your kids! Check out the polar bear as well !

The oldest zoo ever in a beautiful environment. Huge area to walk around and lot of species to see there. Definitely have to visit.
Love this zoo .. If u hate waiting try to buy tickets online.. Wear something comfy it gets hot there and floor is slippery
This is the best zoo that we've been to so far! Many zones, countless animals and a very sound environmental message behind it all.
Nice place with lovely rainforest "under the roof", coalas, pandas and many other cute (and not so much) animals:) good place for walk.
very big and very cool and very nice zoo , all things well designed to the littlest details
Holder of the Guinness record for “Oldest continuously operating zoo ” and was created in 1752 by order of Holy Roman Emperor Francis I
Setup is great. I've enjoyed the walk.
Over 250 years old and one of the only zoos in the world to house Giant Pandas … A "Must-see" in Vienna!
Very large, well laid out and extensive zoo with great infrastructure for people and animals
the oldest zoo in Europe !! You have to see penguins and polar bears !!
Amazing exhibits and animal care, but somehow unorganized. Many drinking water points and toilettes are big plus! :)
Make sure you go around the palace and through the garden to the gate (can see Schönbrunn hill in the back). Don't take the long road on the right, takes over 30 min.
One of the best, if not THE best zoo I've ever been to!
This is the oldest museum in the globe, recognized as the best in Europe and a truly amazing full worthy day of fun!
One of the best zoos in Europe , even though it tends to be overcrowded on weekends.
One of the three places in Europe where there's a panda bear ! Fu Long already lives in China but his mother Yang Yang and his little brothers are still here. Check them out! ????❤

The best zoo I have ever been to! It worth each euro!!!
An amazing zoo ! Annual ticket is totally worth it's price! Playgrounds inside. Toy train will take you around. Go uphill to see a farm with a lovely restaurant . Super soft toys in a souvenirs shop.
Buy a year pass, it's only € 39. (35 if you have the zoo card which is available for free online)
Come here in early spring or late fall and you will get a clear view at all the animals :-)
Perfect after a walk in the Schönbrunn Garden . Very clean too.
You better start with a walk around the Palmenhouse and then straight to the ZOO ;)
Panda , lion, koala , for the very first time. Next time i will spend the entire day in the park .
Beautiful ZOO , you can walk here for the hours and still see new things. We've seen bisons playing like small kids, running around, you can see animals from really close distance. Lovely place ❤
