Located in the Belvedere hotel , this spot is bursting with a convivial atmosphere, good beer list and solid food. Gets pretty busy but for good reason. A great spot in Mount Vernon .
The Owl Bar is one of those local go to spots. It's only 10 minutes away from the Inner Harbor and The Charm'tastic Mile.
Don't look for it by the address ...it's located inside the Belvedere hotel , try the Sweet baby Jesus on tap...it's amazing !
Baltimore's Best Bars 2013: " The bar located on the Belvedere Hotel’s first floor retains a sense of history that’s easy to feel but difficult to accurately describe." http://bsun.md/1jEnkNx
A fave old Bmore haunt and a great date night ambience. Best food is the steak and frites or the amazing pizzas
Baltimore's Best Bars 2012: "We love the pizza and affordable happy hour prices, but this is a place to savor the rich history and atmosphere." http://bsun.md/UD2xA1
Burger is awesome. The crab dip is also great. They make very good drinks and the service is exceptional.
Great pizza ! Had one night in Baltimore and I'm glad I came here. Good beers on tap as well .
Great, historic place. It was a surprise find, but an awesome one. Good beer selection , but atmosphere rocks.
Half the fun is finding it! Really cool setting to go with a great food and drink menu
Awesome truffle burger and duck fat fries
Any of the pizzas can be made into its own thin crust version which is amazing. Also not on the menu , "Red Pizza " : pepperoni , sausage , and I believe beef .
Twenty beers on tap and delicious food. Be aware: Owl Bar will not split a check between more than three credit cards.
Now under new ownership the place is seeing a real revival in its level of service and food quality. Check out the awesome paninis and don't forget to get ice cream after dinner .
Great salads for lunch . Good bar , great classic drinks .
Great atmosphere, one of my favorite places to visit when I'm in Baltimore
the umami burger was possibly the best burger i have ever eaten in my life.
Be sure to have a sidecar and an Ahi Tuna BLT! You won't be disappointed.
Great draft selection ! Local and original brews.
Try the yard of beer . Make sure not to break the glass it comes in though, unless you want an additional $125 added to your check.
Great food, drinks, and atmosphere! Come during happy hour !
Try the Bloody Mary Bar - Really cool concept and spicy options are good
Feels like you're stepping back in time. Nice atmosphere.
The portobello fries are incredible. Order extra sauce.
Walk through the lobby of the Belvedere, try to shake the feeling that you are in the Shining, the bar is at the back
DUCK . FAT. FRIES! Hands down the best duck fat fries in the city .
Awesome history, great vibe, good food & drink (when they're all stocked up).
New management or not... I still refer to this place as the "Out Bar " as they run out of practically everything. Always have a back up in mind... You'll need it!
get the yard of beer or the umami burger. Read more
Classic stop for out-of-town guests. Have them guess the third line of the owl riddle that's on the front wall.
Duck fat fries , craft cocktails , draft beer
Good spot for a draft beer . Food is all right, but portion sizes seem a little small.
One pizza is enough for two to share, and the blue collar chili is rather large and filling.
Cool spot for a late-night drink

Ask for Jess and Rachael - they are the best and the cutest!
Loved everything about it! A must see, but don't try the wings
Sunday brunch . $12 bottomless bloody marys and mimosas !
Don't come for brunch . Heavy metal music . Sour bartender . And they're out of waffles .
They still are incapable of supplying everything they list on the menu - Long Live "The OUT Bar !"
This is a legendary bar !
This place settles the big question once and for all: the spirit of Vienna is alive in Baltimore proper.
Pizza was good! Don't get the caesar salad
Great historic bar with a terrific "Prohibition" back story.
Still love this place but it feels run down these days
Avoid on Friday night: service drags. Bartenders seem more interested in clustering by the service window & chatting with other staff or watching the Os game. Didn't even ask if I wanted a 2nd drink.
Get the Greek pizza . You won't be disappointed.
Order yourself a Knob Creek Manhattan or two and make sure to bring lube for when they bend you over to give you the bill.
They need to get whole wheat dough for the pizza .
Get a Maker's Mark Manhattan ... it will be half vermouth and cost you $14!
Knew the beer was going to be good (green peppercorn tripel, you're my new best friend), but our dinner was actually pretty excellent also. Elk tenderloin? Yeah, I can get on board with that. - Nicholas Young
Great happy hour and atmosphere. Love the veggie sliders too. Brunch is a great deal. - Nathan Dennies
They just revamped their menu! Thai chicken wrap and wings ROCK. Their grilled chicken (shown on the menu as burger options) sandwiches are huge! - Elena
Excellent live jazz! Beautiful view if the city! Every time I visit Baltimore this will be a stop! Great vibe!!! - "MR. TIBBS"
