Памятник установлен в 1968 году. Авторы монумента скульптор В. В. Исаева и архитектор Е. А. Левинсон. Этот район Санкт-Петербурга связан с писателем находящимся здесь домом, где жил Максим Горький.
Красиво, но немного теряется в суете улиц
