Beautiful during sunset . DO NOT walk barefoot on the walkway! I made that mistake and got a lot of tar stuck to the bottom of my feet and ruined my shoes .
Picturesque low key beach with rocky inlets. Check tides because beach may be under water at high tide . Pay for parking as with most State parks .
If you climb out onto the rocks to the south of the parking lot you can find some decent tide pool aquatic life.
In the mornings when the ocean is at its calmest you might see enormous schools of dolphins playing just offshore, sometimes a thousand or so dolphins at a time!
Little bits of tar can sometimes be on the beach so leave your nice swim suit at home. Bring along some baby oil which helps to get the tar right off hands and feet .
Excellent sunset viewing ! Worth the $10 Day Use fee.
Big Campground showers (tokens) quiet sunset viewings with entire park ,beach is incredible.
Pretty nice Beach . Good view and good spot for a quick dip .
There is no more tar on the beach , it is beautiful
Lots of sand crabs for the kids to dig up!
Wonderful place for a sunset picnic .
Loving the route 101
NO HOOK UPS!!!!
You have to book your camping 6 months in advance when they are On reservation April-October, but this is a beautiful place to camp and visit any time of the year! - Sherrice Kelly
It's a walk to the beach, but it's a wonderful camp ground for families! Lot's of great bike riding/walking trails! Beware the campground store is crazy over priced! - ᴡ Naimy
Perfect for a family trip with kids, choose between doing your own cooking (each cabin has it's own outdoor kitchen with a grill/fire pit) and opting for healthy meals at the Canyon Market and Deli. - goop
