Leita Thompson Memorial Park

Great 2 mile run through the woods. Invest in trail shoes if you do this regularly. They help with griping the gravel on the hills .

If the main lot is full, they have overflow parking near the dog park . You can access this lot from the main lot w/o having to do a U-turn.

Playground , dog park , community garden , 2.25 mi hiking trail , fishing , picnic areas , a cabin for rent. You'll feel you are out in the mountains , but without leaving Fulton County .

For a little extra fun, there is a small rope swing near the exit to Mtn. Park Elementary School . Just go straight towards the creek instead of making a right towards the exit.

Hike the Red trail counterclockwise. Allows the elevation and switchbacks to be more manageable. Hike clockwise to make somewhat more challenging.

Want to work your legs and glutes? Turn around at the 1.5 mi mark on the red trail . Love it.

Be sure to check out the rope swing by the creek .
