Fast fwd to today, finally able to take a vac day together. Packed lunch , drinks and iPads to relax in cabana get work done, go for occasional swim while we relaxed. Of course it was not that simple.
This is such a great place cheap and big looks like a mini beach with shade all around the aquatic area and a water slide , will definitely be coming back again..
Nice, not too crowded facility that is well-maintained. Fun water slides and places for everyone to relax on a mid-Summer afternoon.
2nd: We return to find this wasteland DOUBLED cabana rates from last season. A beautiful Wednesday afternoon and not ONE cabana rented by noon, clearly price gouging increase was a brilliant decision.
Never again. I wouldn’t piss in this pool if let in for free. Thanks for the relaxing day by the water. Guess I should have just drove to the real beach that’s open YEAR ROUND like the rest of SoCal.
1st: The swim suit police got me. Yeah that’s right the SWIN SUIT POLICE. Apparently knee high gym shorts not acceptable. No explanation. I should have said screw this place, we went home and Changed.
NEVER AGAIN. 3 yrs we lived 5 min away. At top of “when we have a free day list”. Attempted to go during first week of Sept, high 90s, NOPE closed for season. Seriously? Is this SoCal or North east?
Beware of mega-long lines ; arrive early.
The great swimming pools for the kids
Fishing in the fishing lake is pretty bad. never caught anything, but it is still a nice place to cast a line !
Remember your LA library card for a discount on admission to pool.
No floaties in the pool, even if they are built into your swimsuit!

Early morning runs are the best. Not too crowded and the morning air is crisp. - Veronica C
It's worth paying the $40 for a cabana. Esp if you are a group. Be sure you have enough adults for each under 7 yearbooks that wants to swim. - Roberto Marquez
