日本郵船創立 50 周年を記念して 1936 年に建てられた、コリント式の 16 本の大オーダーが印象的な重厚な建物。設計は和田順顕。2003 年の大規模改修で建築 時の状態に復元された建物内部も見応えあり。入館料は 400 円だが日本郵船氷川丸とのセット券は 500 円 (セット券は有効期限なし)。
歴史ある建物で貴重な資料群をたった400円で見学 できます。????歴代の船の模型は大迫力。惜しくも4月から26年10月まで休館予定。

2階と3階の常設展は神奈川の歴史が縄文時代から近代までしっかりめの展示がされてあって見応え充分。甲冑や仏像、それと円覚寺舎利殿の内部実物大復元などもあって予想以上に楽しめた。時間に余裕があったら是非！ - (´-ω-`)
