Staff are really temperamental - if you're aloof they are really nice & if you're friendly they are really aloof. Sigh! Life really is way too short for this kind of drama!

Nice boutique-ish hotel . Rooms were well-apportioned and comfy . Close to the town center and rail station .

Book a Club Mal deal on the website and get a 2-course meal plus glass of wine , luxurious room with bath & separate power shower , full breakfast and free wi-fi!

Fab food, if a little quiet on a Monday night!

Don't mistake it for the London Dungeon. Bring lots of flash lights and torches .

Coffee and a pastry for £3.95 in an ultra-chilled environment, much more conducive for working than Starbucks.

The train set in The Malard Suite needs a bit of updating but otherwise a great room!

Brassiere service is appalling. Food very good.

Consistently DREADFUL service. The only hotel bar or restaurant where I've been completely ignored for over an hour. Gave up trying to get a coffee and went elsewhere.

Internet connection has it turns. Better don't need to rely on it. Sending ten emails (txt) only took 40 minutes. :0
