Not a bad seat in the house, great sound quality and easy to navigate. Lots of seating outdoors before the show begins to people watch and enjoy DTLA.
Saw the Curious Incident of the Dog here (great show!), efficient and spacious . Come early and grab some drinks in the outside plaza right in front. Makes for a beautiful night.
Hot tix , which are generally in the balcony boxes for $20/each (no service charge) are hard to beat for the price. Tickets go on sale 3 wks. before show's run.
First time here seeing The Trip to Bountiful with Cecily Tyson and Blair Underwood, Jurnee Bell and Vanessa Williams. It was amazing, Cecily Tyson was soooo good!
Came to see Come From Away. Wonderful sound system and intriguing design all around the building. Even from the balcony , you can get good seats. Just be prepared to pay for parking .
Ahmanson theatre is a great place to enjoy live performances without breaking the bank . All seats have great view of the stage. Their snack bar sells alcohol . $10 parking . EV Chargers on Level 5.
Mo-chica on 7th and Grand. Absolutely 5 star Peruvian food . Best paella ever and easy to get in and out before show! A must!
restaurant is kinda pricey outside, but food and wine are great and adds to the experience to going to see live theater , or you can bring a picnic dinner and eat outside before the show
This is my favorite big theatre in LA! Check out the Pinot grill in the court yard for your pre-show meal and drink. A very pleasant surprise.
Looking for your "hot tix " seats in the theater ? Go through a door leading toward a men's or women's restroom (depends on the side of the theater ). There's a "fork in the road " before you go too far!
See all the musicals ! And there isn't a bad seat in the house, so this is a good place to do that.
I love this place.... Been coming here since I was 10.... A landmark for downtown.... I brought my kids to see backbeat.... 8 and 4... Now they are theather buffs.
Wonderful theatre . If from out of town see if they have any Hot Tixx. They're in the balcony but still have a descent view .
There's a Time of the Season When Blood Runs High... Get Your Tix Early. See your favorites often. And a Time for every purpose under Heaven. :) :) :) :) NK76
Matilda was fabulous! Angelenos, go to the theatre ! It was a fantastic experience.
Did you know you can pre-order a drink before the show that will be waiting with your name on it at intermission?
Opening night! Great theatre in the heart of downtown LA. Check out www.xplorela.com for more events !
Great spacious theater with great views and friendly staff .
Ask for rush tickets for shows day-of. If you're lucky you can see a show for $25!
Was here for Dame Edna's final performance . Sunday afternoons are great at the Ahmanson
Please get to ur seats on time and stop being so L.A. about it... Also please dress up.... It's the theater for gods sake....
As far as theater goes in LA, this is as good as it gets
War Horse great from the front row of mezzanine level. Great view of the horses front and top
Grab a picnic meal and enjoy Grand Park before the show. There is a Starbucks too!
Get to the Music Center early. You'll have less hassle with parking & you'll have a chance to get a snack before the show.
Grab some street tacos in the courtyard outside of the Music Center , 2 authentic tacos w/ fresh salsa for $8
Great place to see excellent shows.
Eat at the Grand Market before, then have a drink on the outdoor plaza because you can't drink inside the theater seats.
Typically they sell $20 with no additional service charge Balc tickets (Hot Tix ) on the day of the show at the Box Office, as long as they're not sold out... Pretty Sweet...
Bring It On: The Musical opens in Los Angeles on November 1st! It's definitely a must see even if you aren't a "cheertator"! Read more
All seats have a good view because the theater is not very large. However for comfort get a box seat
20 rush seats 2 hours before box office . Get here a little earlier, otherwise line will be killer.
Most nice restaurants downtown have a free shuttle to the theatre so you can avoid the hairy parking .
Ask for the $20 hot tix if you don't mind balcony
All the food options are pricey and low quality during renovations.
Pinot grille has the best hamburgers anywhere
See Grey Gardens - great play

Beautiful Art Deco theater for touring shows. The balcony seats are pretty far away, but it’s still great. The lobby is spacious and very cool. - eric bornemann

Great selection of absinthe. Also one of the few places that does it right. Also try the chartreuse! - SoCal Steve
