Absolutely charming decor: there's a distinct Indian film theme, from 70-80s Bollywood to regional cinema posters from South and East India as well . Get the bottled water which goes towards charity .
Thalis (southern, with fish curry & lentil dahl , or northern, with tarka dahl & mutter paneer ), served with rice , raita & salad , in a Hindi-colonial setting (fringed lamps, elephants, vivid pinks).
Not been here in years. I was never enamoured before but the food and staff were Excellant last night. I am so glad they are not just veggie and now have a really delicious comprehensive menu. Yummy
You pay £22 for your first tiffin meal (including a stack of four stainless steel dishes), and come back whenever you want a refill: three hot curries and rice , enough for two, cost £7.
Really impressed. Nothing like your conventional Indian restaurant . Don't let the outside put you off, the place is great.
Awesome taste, really good for vegetarians . As usual in indian restaurants , the portions look small but really aren't...
