The Abita beer bread (served with the bbq shrimp appetizer ) is INCREDIBLE.
This is the first shrimp & grits dish I’ve had that was soup-y. I didn’t like that. The dish was well-seasoned and so it “tasted good”. I just didn’t like that it was soup . Small menu. Over-priced.
Fairly expensive , contrary to what others are saying — $15 hamburger , $1 extra for every add-on: cheese , bacon , grilled onions . So $18 for that. Would you call that fairly inexpensive ? I wouldn’t.
The shrimp and grits was spectacular.
The staff are very friendly , but the food is expensive ! 2 people, drinking only water, and the check was $56 (not including a reasonable tip for good service ).
