The small size of the restaurant often mean waits are inevitable, but dishes such as the raw shrimp , somtum, grilled pork , and fried red snapper are all tasty and reasonably priced.
I'm sweating while eating just like in Pattaya. Service is fast and friendly . Portions generous and prices reasonable. Sriphraphai is better known and larger, but this place is the real deal.
Great Thai fare with an expansive menu. Some of the best dishes are hearty ones, like rice cooked with funky shrimp paste , Hainan chicken , or a fried watercress salad .
they have the best pad see ew i ever had. i usually have it with beef . and their Chinese broccoli with crispy pork and garlic is delicious. their papaya salad is a must. these is my personal top 3!
Great food. Great service. We had our first visit today and will definitely be back. We tried the E-Sarn sausage , Larb salad and Panang curry with crispy pork . Everything was very, very tasty.
They have one of the best parang curry . For vegetarians do try the chive dumplings . The fried fish is a must order too. The staff is friendly and service is quick.
my go to dishes: duck panang , drunken noodles , Chinese broccoli & crispy pork , red snapper (they can filet this if u don't want it whole), crab fried rice (chunks of crab meat !). Oh they deliver !! ;)
Duck curry was great. Enjoyed the raw shrimp salad (had to take some chili off as a tad too spicy for us, but very tasty and fresh). E-sarn sausage was good but we would try something else next time.
Get raw-shrimp salad , redolent of lime , garlic ; panang duck curry , with its pinpoint calibration of sweet, sour, and spicy ; crisp, lacy catfish salad ; mango sticky rice , a dissertation in ripeness.
Everything we ordered was simply amazing. Apps: Larb (my favorite) & Chinese watercress salad (both w/chicken). Entrees: Beef Drunken Noodle & Chicken Red Curry . (Not very original, but soooo good.)
A very intimate décor with reasonable prices and great service. We truly think the panang curry duck is the best we have ever had! It was tender and cooked to perfection.
By far the best Thai restaurant in all of NYC. Better than Sripapaya and Spicy Shallot across the street can't even compete. - Duck Panang Curry , Papaya Salad , Pad See Ew my faves.
Papaya salad (warning: spicy !), panang curry , drunken noodles , sautéed Chinese watercress , and of course Thai iced tea
This place gives Sripraphai a run for it's money for best Thai in the city . Everything is outstanding. Don't order a dish extra spicy unless you mean it.
If you trekked out this far from the city , Ayada was a much more satisfying meal than SriPraPhai. The fried snapper special reminded me of local meals on the beaches of Khao Lak and Mai Khao.
Mussels and Duck Panang are not to be missed. Better than most of the Thai food I had in Thailand.
They have dishes that publications like The New York Times have remarked on. Get that or try something like their pad thai . It's remarkably good if you have been stuck in a Thai dessert in Queens
Oh. My. Gd. Duck panang . NY Times pick for a reason. Do not open your mouth to order unless you say "duck panang " first. Crispy outside, moist inside, no bones, and a sauce that will melt your mind.
I love it here! Crispy Duck Salad is really good. Crispy Watercress Salad and Raw Shrimps could be improved (Sripraphai Restaurant has it better). Soups are delicious!!! Give it a try!
Tendon soup is perfect for cold weather (get it dark-with blood), it is a bit sweet. Snapper special larb style was awesome! Eat the bones-like crispy fish doritos.
Go to dishes: crab fried rice , fried red snapper w/ basil or chili (both excellent), drunken noodles , Chinese broccoli w/crispy pork , Thai sausages , and palm juice . Mmmm
Delicious and cheap Thai food . I usually have the drunken noodles , which was a tad sweet, but delicious none the less.
Legit spicy Thai. The Pork Larb , papaya salad , crispy catfish salad are stellar apps. Duck Penang curry a solid entree.
Friendly and speedy service! Drunken Noodles weren't a big deal but the Tom Yum , Larb and Fried Red Snapper is where it's at!
Ayada is one of New York's best Thai restaurants , and you'll never have to fight monster crowds to snag a table. [Eater 38 Member]
Try the raw shrimp w/ chili & lime for a major kick. Pig leg w/ mustard greens is a chef standard. Crispy Chinese watercress salad is a textural feast. And sautéed sator beans brings a savory funk.
Pad see ew beef , crispy pork and Chinese broccoli , duck panang , Chinese watercress
slippery, absolutely delicious pad kee mao/drunken noodles
Everything I've had so far has been really good. Wings . Pad Thai . Drinks cheap and strong.
Drunken noodles ! Thai Iced Tea ! Any Red Snapper on the menu! Papaya Salad ! And order anything just don't miss these!
The noodles were out of this world- so slurpy (well sauced) and flavorful
The drunken noodles may be the best noodle/pasta dish I've ever had
Sour curry with shrimp and broccoli omelet ; fried whole fish with basil sauce ; crispy catfish with green mango salad ; spicy chicken salad ; crispy pork with Chinese broccoli .
Papaya salad with raw crab
The food is well flavored, albeit unapologetically spicy ! I went with the highest of expectations, yet they had exceeded them. The NY Times review was well-deserved.
Authentic Thai eats in the heart of Elmhurst. Make sure to order a beer to cool down that tongue .
Steamed mussels in the lime Chile broth! To die for! That broth though!
Good overall authentic Thai restaurant . Definitely try the mango salad with seafood
Incredible!! The red snapper , the duck curry , the drunken noodles OMG yum
You cannot go wrong with the watercress salad and the taro custard is to die for
Ask for Thai spicy for your papaya salad . It was amazing, just like having it in Thailand.
Raw shrimp : despite nyt rec, not so great for someone who doesn't like sushi ; panang curry and crab meat fried rice were awesome.
Everything!! I always have the mango seafood salad ...love it!! A must!!!
Tom Yum soup , Pineapple fried rice , Thai iced tea ! Yum! One of the best Thai spots I've been to.
Fish Cakes and Drunken noodle
Compared to Sripaphai: smaller portions, a bit pricier w/ the duck , BUT BETTER TASTE! YUMMY! & the spice so good.
Ayada > Spicy shallot !! Love their fried chicken , fried calamari , chicken basil fried rice and basil pork mmmm
Love their chicken pad thai . Good portions. Good service . Small but quaint space. Can find free non-metered parking on 77th street.
Fish cake , crispy duck salad and mango rice are all tasty
Everything but the drunken noodles and spicy papaya salad ...delicious!
i absolutely love their thai iced tea. one of my favorite go-to dishes is their fried chicken with coconut fried rice. it is a must try! - Kristine Michelle
Located behind their sister spot Khao Kang, Khao Nom has plenty of Thai desserts and a savory short menu. Cash only - Ronz
I dream about the fried red snapper with basil and chilies, and the sweet sausage appetizer is awesome too - Cristina F-M
Cute clean and cozy Thai cafe with delicious sweets. Open late. Cash only! - Netsirk
Hidden Thai bar. Beautifully decorated (such a cool eclectic mix of items and lights?). Try the appetizers: pork skin and Thai fish cake are my pick. - Racky Ross
Some of the best thai I've ever had. Get the pumpkin if they have it! - Alex Godin
