Carlsbad State Beach

Great calm beach . You can walk up the beach and find a little spot to yourself any time of year.

Public parking for a small fee or park in the neighborhoods for free across the street. Restrooms within walking distance. Carlsbad Village is nearby.

Can be a great spot for surf photography . During the right tide the surfers are really close to the beach , requiring as little as a 300mm lens.

So active. Runners, bikers, dog walkers, skaters, surfers, swimmers. Meet up place for the whole community. So full of youth.

Great beach to hang out and relax at. We got to see a pod of dolphins at play!

Nice beach ...lots of shells for kids to look for. Not crowded either is you want to find a mellow beach .

Pretty beach for a sunset stroll. Cool sounds and pics to be found among the pebble deposits.

There is a food truck in the parking lot serving surf & turf dishes! Mexican, Hawaiian, Californian, etc!

Restrooms around Pier 35 & 38! Seawall below doesn’t get much breeze :) happy exploring!

This is a great beach if you want to avoid the tourists . Parking is tough which is what keeps the crowds down.

Beach break for beginners! No wonder it's right outside the campgrounds . Fun waves and no crowds on weekdays. Check it when u get the chance.

Great, small, laid back "playa." $2/hr for parking . Not bad, but you could park free elsewhere.

Grab some shoes , walk north 3 miles, order fries from the McDonalds under Oceanside Pier , head back.

This is my favorite beach in San Diego county .
