Opens from 8am. Better on week days as not so crowded . Promo now 4 dim sum at 30% off if ordered b4 1030am (weekdays). Gd shrimp dumplings . Food takes a while to be ready. So be patient !
Happy to find a traditional dim sum place at 8am. Freshly steamed piping hot just the way morning yum cha should be. Even my dad was impressed. Business was slow but service was prompt. Pls stay open.
Their dim sum standard has regained its glory days, and is typically a great place for family meals as they offer big table seatings. Their century egg porridge however, is a little disappointing.
Tried the Dim Sum and overall good experience. The pan fried Carrot Cake has good sear on it for favour and taste. The Salted Egg Lava Bun was so-so, didn't have that good oozing of the saltedegg lava
Fried crispy oyster egg (潮州蚝烙) and shark head soup (鲨鱼头汤) are very nice! Also, there is a Teochew opera performance every Friday evening at 8pm.
Dim sum is good! They have their own specialities, different from the usual dim sum menu in mainstream restaurants .
An Italian Dolcetto d'alba goes very well with the teochew style braised goose . Excellent combination !
Personal preference I love the Prawn dumplings & siew mai . ????
Plan what u want to eat. Don't take everything unless ur stomach is a black hole. The chicken wing is a no-no. 小笼包、流沙包、芝麻包、榴莲虾 and other desserts are wonderful. Must try :)
Decent for large family dinners . Love the creativity of some of the dishes.
Oyster omelette is a must try! It's a deconstructed version where the egg and oyster are separated.
Local waitress is yet well-trained enuff. Dared to roll eyes just after responding to the customer's inquiry
Quite good service .We went on Friday. It has the teochow opera which can't understand but quite a good atmosphere.
You only get to eat certain dimsums depending on your seats thanks to the efficient waiters camping at the corners with their trolleys . Oh and they forgot our orders TWICE.
Or nee (yam paste dessert ) was surprisingly good here????????
The 30% off for dim sum on weekdays is only for safra members.
Choose your dim sum on the trolleys . Staff are friendly and service is fast. Food is decent.
The dim sum is nice and fresh
Essentially the food here is not bad (like the Braised Goose and Oyster Omelette ) but the price tag of the dishes is a tad too high for me to return.
The elderly women pushing the dim sum trolleys are very friendly and busily showcasing dim sum products each of them have.
Good food, but horrible environment, DO NOT COME HERE during public holiday. So crowded , everyone running towards the aunties delivering food like its the end of the world.
lots of mistake in their service. quite irritating to have them come & check every now and then to see if you did order a particular item.
Dim sum is average. But if you enjoy the olden days of push-trolley dim sum , this would be one place to go to.
Change couple of owner n names from : Ping Xiang Lou > Fortune > Swatow but their dim sum remain its standard :)
Hi-Tea Buffet : Monday - Friday : 3.00pm - 6.00pm @ $16.80++ (Adult) & $10.80++ (Child 6-12yrs)
the hi-tea buffet is quite worth it. 30+ dishes, served butler style.
Never will I come again , zichar stall taste better then the dish served here . Tried the 脆皮 yuan ti, roasted crispy pig trotters , it differs from the name of the dish! It taste like can food! Yucks!
Be prepared to queue for a while as they don't take reservations .
Good stuff
吃不肥二 recommend here for high tea dim sum here $16.80++ per head
...Keep asking if you finish your food!!! Don't know how to adjust the aircon when it is very very cold. For god sake the are kids around so watch where u go!!! Staff if u see this inform your manager
Gd services but food not nice... It's very oily n contains lotsa msg... When u r here for their Tim sum buffet @$16.90++ on weekday & $19.90++ on weekends, remember to book for appt. e food not nice
Dinner is excellent! Must try the oyster omelette
Dimsum breakfast !
Food here service n standard drop...nt really that worth...too pack
!!! The service here is very very BAD, staff rushing u to finish your food, don't know how to say excuse me when they are behind you with hot stuff, keep clearing your plate when there is still food..
With hubby & his family.
Nice dim sum
Affordable good Chinese
Kitchen overwhelmed on a crowded Saturday night. Patrons possibly old timers? Food is pretty forgettable. Won't be back.
The Xiao Long Bao is a super let down. Could taste the flour in the skin and yet the skin was too thin, unable to hold the soup within. All the soup leaked even before we lifted it up. =(
The toilet here no Aircon
Ok.the food is delicious!!
They threw the table setting on the table lols
Food quality is lousy. Perhaps frozen dim sum made at home could taste better. Staff lacks knowledge . Do not even know what tea is available. Quoted us Mu Er tea instead of Pu Er!
Porridge is soft and smooth.
Very average dim sum . Would not really recommend it to friends.
hmmm just average haha timhowan was way better
The new swatow seafood dim sum sucks. Staff are rude, people here are walking around and grabbing food they see. Is this a restaurant or a kopitiam?
tim sum here is not bad but abit cold maybe due to the aircon here. first timer here
Peppery soup variety. Braised trotters are a tender, tasty, fall-off-bone delicious. Pictures of celebrities on wall nice distraction. - Alf Teo
Very nice chicken rice, homemade barley and fish maw soup! - Phyllis Lim
Their pork was really delicious, it was the first time I tried this taste and it really brings a new flavour to me. Recommend this dish!! Service was great too!! - Jan
every coffee person would love KOI cafe with 70% sugar level! worth to try! I love Iced one - Phyu Ei
