Oleta River State Park is the largest urban park in the state. Located on Biscayne Bay in northeast Dade County, the most prominent natural feature of the park is the Oleta River, for which the park is named.

Great kayaking in the mangroves and lake . The kayaks don't have a water proof compartment so bring a water proof bag!
My family and I always go here on Labor Day ???? the water is a bit dirty but after that I enjoy riding my bike and kayaking
This park is chock full of geocaches, so break out your GPS device and go hunt them down! Also recommend kayaking here -- paddle out to the islands or take it slow and meander through the mangroves .
Nice little piece of nature. More for kayaking and biking than for hiking . Still worth it for a Sunday morning.
