Dear lord, this place is delightful. Very friendly staff . Good prices, divey-er and thus less likely to be filled with idiots than what is expected from some of the other spots in Ballard. I approve.
Go tongue and cheek, seriously. Get the lengua and cachete tacos . Also, if you get a frozen-double-el-cheapo, you’re less likely to drink it too fast.
Pretty cool place. Great late-night happy hour , especially for food. Starts at 11pm, and the $1 tacos are small but tasty. Nice staff . Entirely solid salsa selection.
The flour tortillas that are used for the tacos have a warm and mildly moist texture that pairs very well with the meat. I'm coming back soon.
Everything can be made into a Burrito , and good Burritos at that. The Xmas style wet Burrito with red and green sauce is great.
Love the sunlight shining on the bar through two skylights ... Gives it an open feel. El cheapo is a good one
The pastor is solid, and this is one of the few places I've found in Seattle that serves it. Doesn't quite compare to what I'm used to in San Diego.
The a la carts tacos are great, and the homemade salsas are really fresh and tasty.
Tacos are... fine. It's the late night happy hour pricing that makes it worth it.
The duck and lamb tacos are amazing. And try the hibiscus margarita .
Tacos during happy hour are only a dollar. They're small but filled with meat. Really good!
There are three better Mexican options a block or so away: Garcia, Senor Moose , and La Carta de Oaxaca.
Great tacos ! Love the atmosphere.
Skip the cheapo margarita . $4 wine for happy hour . Pretty good!
I was pretty meh on this place. The margarita was all right. The chips , I'm fairly sure, were Juanita's. The Al Pastor taco was great, though. Pretty loud place.
Their chips and salsa are amazing, although no free refills :-(
Happy hour 4-7. Tons of tacos ! Yummy!
The happy hour $1 taco deal is awesome.
Such glorious nachos
The cochinitas pibil tacos are life changing.
Please don't say "kids welcome until 4" if you cannot cater to actually having children there.
Margaritas were watered down, burritos were mostly rice with very little meat and service was so/so. If you want Mexican food and you're in Ballard go a cpl blocks down the road to Senor Moose .
The Al Pastor tacos are awesome!!
Tasty food and good margaritas .
Their tacos are below average and our server was a little slow. However the margaritas are pretty well made. Don't think I'll ever go back though.
Nachos with shredded chicken
Carnitas and Sex on the Beach
Was really hoping for a better happy hour for drinks. But happy hour for food is great.
Tinga de Conejo & Pato!
Carnitas tacos
No minors after 4p
Come for the food, not the slow and poor service.
Tacos et margaritas
Cosy and affordable Mexican restaurant. Good lunch menu, recommend the veggie tacos and chips and salsa selection to start. Margaritas are strong! - Aimée Jane Parr
Absolutely fantastic - $107 before tip for the best and most tender steak I’ve ever tasted, carne asada (almost as good as the steak), and 3 really good cocktails. Great service too. Recommended. - Ulysses .
Tex-Mex menu, including soups and salads, burgers and barbecue, tacos, fajitas, enchiladas, seafood, steak and chicken. Invigorating sauces meet fresh ingredients. Texas-style nachos are a must. - The Seattle Times
Great theater. Paul Allen outdid himself with this gem. Comfortable, roomy, friendly staff. Smaller screens upstairs, but still enjoyable. - Rick P
Good selection of beers. Don't get confused by the multitude of large boards, the one on them left has the tap list. - Phill Ramey
