Belmar Park

Partially native surroundings make this park a joy to explore. There is a small playground , but most of it is in a natural, native state . Lots of lakes , and horse trails too.

Whether we feed them or not, the geese will be here year round. You know how geese fly south for the winter? This is south. That said, they'll be healthier if they're left to feed themselves.

This is a great place for walking your dog—on a leash. Park rules and city law prohibit off-leash dogs here. Lakewood Animal Control's office is on the edge of the park , so they will come ticket you.

Great place for a run, walk, horse ride , or bike ride . Has both paved and unpaved trails .

This park is a hidden gem , hiding in the middle of Lakewood.

This place has a zillion bagillian geese and other bird-like species such as the bronze blue heron steadfastly positioned by the edge of the lake .

DOGS like the goose poop! Don't feed the geese ! GROSS:-P

Do a Lap around Koutze Lake in the late afternoon for excellent views , and wildlife viewing !

Don't feed the Canada Geese . They won't migrate, so they will just stay and poop everywhere.
