It was very cold & windy when we get there & i fell asleep on the benches by the beach while waiting for my family to enjoy their walks on the piers ... very clean & amazinggggg scenery too ????????
Definitely not the nicest beach in Melbourne , but it is closest to town . But because of this fact it's usually pretty packed. Don't forget to take a walk down the pier to have a look at the penguins!
Great spot for sunbathing with a friend or two. The breeze helps keep you from getting too hot when it's in the upper 30s degrees. Try the Beachcomber resto for a nice lunch special with drink.
The water is nice and warm during summer, so a midnight swim is always nice even if it's only 20 deg outside. And a lot of the beach is lit up near Luna Park . :)
Beautiful cityscape from there and you can see some small penguins hidden in the rocks st the pier .
A nice place to walk your dogs, do people watching , and if you're lucky, you might be able to see some penguins hiding between the rocks.
Must go to watch the pingouins come back at sunset . The pier can be quite crowds and windy
Nice ambience, beautiful view , cool places to sit down and enjoy beer or food!! Perfect for a sunny day
Good place to relax , do forget to visit the shops area as well for food or coffee . Direct tram from CBD & only like 20min.
How cool is that to be at the beach 30mn away from the city . Cool spot, sunny and nice area as well .
morning, noon or night any time of the year a walk along the beach will be the highlight of your day
Check out The Stokehouse while your there great restaurant lunch/dinner. Right on the foreshore!
Penguins! Tiny penguins can be seen on the rocks at the end of the stone pier . You might have to wait until 9 to 10pm at night though
Saving some time by visiting the City ’s small penguin population at St Kilda rather than venturing out to Phillip Island . http://stkildapenguins.com.au
Head down when the wind's up to check out the kite surfers, or around sunset for the penguins.
Come on in.. The waters fantastic. So is the eye candy ...Family Friendly peeps
Was not super crowded surprisingly for a Saturday in February! Range of places to eat! Also a day spa !
Go for a walk or swim i love it here.
When it's busy, you feel like you're in Miami. Lovely area and nice beach .
Presidents Cup team member Aaron Baddeley is a Melbourne native who recommends a day at the beach , then dinner on Fitzroy or Achland Street.
Get there by sun down, you will be able to see the cutest small penguins .
The best view of the city during the fireworks on new years eve
Really cool beach ! A lot of young people having fun and chilling out .
Such a great broadwalk, you don't even have to get your feet in the sand :)
Nice long beach , perfect for swiming having a coffee or lunch .
Nice beach . Don't forget to bring your sunscreen !
Going back home after work and passing St Kilda while on sunset can refresh my mind from the workload
Just soak in the water and enjoy the view .
Riding a bike along the beach can be a very good idea! ????
What's not to like about St. Kilda beach ?
Perfect place to spend the evening with sunset and tiny penguins .
Chilled, relaxed. Must visit.
Just went paddle boarding! It was fun
Good place to hang out and enjoy meals and coffee
Walk along the pier past the pavilion and visit the penguins. There are 1200 of them out there!
Stunning view at night.
Very crowded and touristy . Go after dark to see the penguins.
Watching wind surfers whilst sitting on the beach can be quite entertaining.
Full of holiday makers and travelers - check out one of the quieter beaches further out of the city .
You can have great sunset when you're lucky
Not the best beach but it the vibe around this stretch of sand is always young and energetic.
