Old school tiki bar ! The decor hasn’t changed since the 70s, so it’s a really beautiful time capsule. The drinks are classic tiki... strong! The classic mai tai does not disappoint :)

Creative Loafing Atlanta

Some say that Victor Jules Bergeron Jr., also known as Trader Vic, invented the Mai Tai . Still in dispute. A big garnish of mint is what you'll notice first, but the rum is what will stay with you. Read more

Came for the drinks, was surprised to find that the food is excellent! It's very expensive , but worth it for a special occasion . I just wish I lived closer so I could come here more often.

Josh Weiss

Even for a local, this is a fun place to visit. Authentic Tiki bar (with the decor, food, and drink), very friendly & welcoming. Ribs were sinfully good. We went on rainy day for a fun mood lift.

Lynne S

Awesome. One of my favorite restaurants . Layers of flavors and plenty to choose from. Most dishes are cooked over an open flame over a hot clay pot . Always consistently phenomenal

Tim Shea

The Mai-Tai's are delicious, but dangerous. Don't limit yourself to the stuff you know, try something new, it's all good, and if you hate it, the staff will get you something else.

Sarah Wilkinson

The kava bowl was pretty good (pictured). The bahia was delicious and full of good coconut flavor .

Sarah Wilkinson

The half chicken dinner is so good! Smoked flavor and always juicy. And I have never had a bad tiki drink here!

Stephen Román

Being a chain I was hesitant but pleasantly surprised- excellent quality food and service. I’ll return for sure.

My parents brought me to Trader Vics in the Shamrock Hilton. No dinner salad ...cannot make an Old Fashion...hope the meal is good. The band is great!

It's the Regal Beagle of the south!! Great little bar downtown. Kept waiting for Jack Tripper to come striding in. http://www.threescompany.com/tcompany/www/lounge.html

Chris Golden

T-Mobile had no cell service in the restaurant (it's in the basement of the Hilton)

Dolores Loudermilk

The best kitsch-glam atmosphere ever. Good bands with a sense of humor.

David Eldridge

Several distinctive cocktails , and fun tiki glassware .

Kurt Siegenthaler

Place is awesome. Don’t have the old mai tai glasses but still awesome

Amanda Harley

Crave from the Grave: You can't go wrong with any of the entrees cooked in the large Chinese wood fired ovens. Personal favorite is the Pork Chop Hawaiian.

Wayne Bundrick

Drink a mai tai , then start with the calamari . Get the filet! If you see a werewolf w/perfect hair, buy him a pina colada . Bip!

Gary Hasty

Like lounging over at your little buddy's, Gillian's, hut. Good food and strong as hell drinks

Mo L

If they tell you there's a 30+ min. wait for a table, check OpenTable. You can usually reserve a near-immediate seating.

Get a group of friends and have a timed race...one group drinking a Scorpion Bowl and the other a Rum barrel ! The more silly long straws, the better.

This place is a treasure. One of the best bars in Atlanta, one of only a couple Trader Vic's left in the US. Most are overseas now.
