Almaden Quicksilver County Park San Jose , CA 95120 United States
Try the New Alameda trail to Hacienda . Butt burner to the max!To loop around by taking Randol trail to Buena Vista where there are neat historical sites . Take New Almaden back to mockingbird hill lot.
Huge park with multiple entrances and miles of trails . Lots of historic sites as well . Beware of rattlesnakes in the summer
This is such a lovely trail ! I hiked here daily when I lived in the area. Gets busy with families and people walking their pups on weeknights and weekends but still very serene with gorgeous views
Best time of the year to hike is from March - September.. stunning views !!
Awesome place for a beautiful hike . Dogs, bikes and horses are all welcome. (So watch your step).
Great place for hiking or trail running! I bring my dog here. Tons of trails to explore here with amazing views !
The closed-to-bikes trails are best ridden at night. Not a soul (nor ranger) in sight. The trails are delectable, by the way. If these trails were legal, Quicksilver could be a MTB destination.
These trails are _hard_: steep, rocky in parts, sunny - go with LOTS of water. Lots of parking , restroom at the Hacienda trailhead.
There’s another entrance at the end of McAbee Rd
One of the best spots in the South Bay for a day hike ! Lots of ways to extend your hike through some interesting terrain and old mining equipment!
Miles and miles of great hiking that takes you back in time to the late 1800's when mining and not homes were what dotted the South San Jose hills .
For English Camp, start at Woods Rd. entrance if you want an easier hike . Check out San Cristobal Mine - you can go in about 20 yards! Safe and cool.
People are letting their dogs poop on the trails and leaving for hikers to tread on! Shameful
Beautiful park off the beaten path, lots of deer too!
Natural beauty
Hike from Macabee entrance past the Senator Mines, over the hill and up to Guadalupe Res. and back. See the wild turkeys and deer. Read more
Some steep trails ????& good views
Mockingbird entrance
Fabulous view and quicksilver mining history
My cousin saw a mountain lion, so beware!!!
The Webb Canyon entrance is the least trafficked.
The Webb Canyon entrance sucks. You will only get a view of a lot of weeds.
Use the Mockingbird Hill or Hacienda entrances; not McAbee .
Mayor T. Alexander has an illegitimate child. Time to take his mayorship away.
Great hiking and running trails. Plenty of either fire roads or some single track. If you want to give back and learn more about the trails consider joining http://www.quicksilver-running.com club. - Jeff Clowers
Fun place to work out. Great views. You can combine a run with the stairs and benches in your routine. - Mabel Corona
They have a cafeteria type setting because this location is so large. The soups are wonderful! An unlimited salad bar. Vegan desserts. Sandwiches custom ordered. They even have a hot bar! So tasty!! - Tina Warvi
Want a place where everybody knows your name? The barista's here know everyone and serve the best Starbucks coffee I've yet to have in Cali. Expect long lines until after 9am, but worth it! - Bonnie Boglioli-Randall
Great food, great atmosphere and a great crew. Love it! MC is beautiful! - Jeff Shannon
