Best stage I have ever seen in a bar . The band was really tight. A girl I was with got thrown out for swearing after ordering a $6 water. Hey staff of Arthur's Tavern, don't flatter yourself.
Intimate bar setting with great music and an even better vibe. There's a two drink minimum per set per person and it's cash only . Make sure to tip the band!
Incredible live jazz and blues music ! Come on Thursdays or Fridays and listen to Sweet Georgia Brown and Off the Hook! Gets crowded , come early if you want a table.
Incredible spot for date night . If you don’t have a reservation , get there around 6:20/6:30 for a 7pm set and sit at the two bar seats closest to the stage!
Live music every night for the last 80 years, this dive music bar hosts a Motown funk band and a sweet jazz trio on Saturdays, but it sounds like every night is a treat! #nycmustsee
Bring your friends from out of town and get ready to dance . Bring cash.
Arthur's Tavern is an unassuming dive bar where you can always expect to find a dance party soundtracked by an amazing house band playing crowd-pleasing '70s soul and funk.

Beautiful decorations around the tavern and the best bartenders ! Great people, music , and drinks!
The greatest jazz funk cover band on Saturday nights. Cash only . An old school gem of an institution in NYC.
Such a fun scene, live music and an energetic crowd. Impossible not to have a good time, but warning: it's cash only .
Loved the live band . Good service . A lot of fun and great jazz and funky music . Will be back for sure!
Come for some live groovy jazz . No cover, but good to tip the band. Remember, cash only !

This nightclub has been entertaining New York City since 1937 with the best of live jazz and blues . The legendary Charlie Parker and the great Roy Hargrove played here."
Only bad thing about this place is that I didn't find it sooner. Smooth motown songs performed by a great (sometimes changing) live band . cash only . no cover, but 1 drink min. per set ($10)
The drinks are expensive and even the beers are overpriced but it's not like you're here for the alcohol . Just enjoy the music and don't forget to tip!
The atmosphere is fun, food & service better than expected, and the music very cool -- check out the Eri Yamamoto Jazz Trio, a jazz/acoustic/nu-jazz band!
Good music ,cool place but administration sucks! Cash only ?!!2drink min per person per set??!year 2013 city :new york??
Nice spot for hangout
Live music , friendly bartender . Not so much a dive bar so don't expect cheap drinks . Cash only .
Come late night and enjoy the show.
Eri Yamamoto 's trio is just phenomenal!!
Listened to the grove street stompers there. Fun little jazz bar
Free live jazz but the drinks suck. The two drink minimum is a PITA too.
The band has an amazing Prince medley they play!
Cute , intimate . Great jazz .
great live music . Free, but u will probably end up tipping $5. It's worth it.
The most rude waitress I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. Do yourself and the world a favor and fire her.
fun, eclectic , great jazz band . Halloween , Hannukah,4th of July, Christmas etc. decor everywhere. No rhyme or reason but fun nonetheless!

Very cute jazz bar ! Mondays are perfect!!
I love this bar especially the jazz group on Friday evenings.
Want to relax? Come on Monday for some old school Jazz . :)
Total dive, that is decorated for every holiday 365 days a year. Live music is good. Nothing special otherwise.
EJ on the keyboard is the jam money. All day.
Must go to jazz night on Monday's, from 7-10.
Last time I was there a waitress told me about a time a taxi in the Bronx provoked a knife fight. Note: not the driver, car itself. She left it incapacitated in an intersection . Going back tonight.
Ice cold beer here
Small space, big sound. Bring your cash, wear flat shoes , and pee before you leave your apt.
Ask for sweet Georgia brown :)
Mad live music . Small drinks but potent.
Amazing ! I like this place
Sweet Georgia Brown is the mama of funk. Go catch her on a Thursday night.
Arthur's rocks. Dirty . Dingy. Awesome music . Bring your cash. Leave your attitude. If you bring a girl there on the first date and she OKs a second...she may be a keeper.
Jazz night on Monday's, from 7-10.
Come earlier to get seats in front. Though all seats are good enjoy the show????????. Recommend - Sopho Girdaladze
A true gem for jazz lovers! (no chit-chat, just music). It's an intimate historic space. Tickets are required, and there's a 1 drink minimum per person. Service and cocktails were solid. - Polina Weitz
