Donner Lake Kitchen returns to Truckee after being gone for four years! We are so happy and thrilled to be back serving breakfast & lunch all day, every day!
Huevos rancheros are solid. Enough for two (just get an extra tortilla ). Service is also excellent - your coffee will never be less than half full.
Classic diner breakfast , but better and with Mexican items. Rating is inflated, tho def a favorite in the area. Friendly staff , but expect some friction
Cowboy Brekkie is a meal and a half! Get it with fried jalapeño and get there early. There was a 45 minute wait at 9:30
Can't go wrong with the various biscuits and gravy combinations, but be sure to check the daily specials , too!
Cowboy's special - half biscuit & gravy , two eggs , sausage patty , and hash brown - is huge!
Nice comfy breakfast/lunch spot. Heuvos rancheros are really good.

Skier breakfast sandwich is so yummy and big! Eggs on a bagel with basically whatever additions you want. I went for bacon, avocado, tomato and cheese and it was solid. Very friendly staff too. - Lauren Kelly
This is a must go-to when you're in North Tahoe/Truckee. The staff are nice and friendly. Food portions are excellent! I had a omelet with shrimp and it was to die for. Can't wait for my next trip. - Pamela Wagner
This coffee shop is delicious. I highly recommend the cafe americano along with the panini sandwiches. The crepes and gelato are must try items as well which are all made from scratch in house. - Justin Swett
