Everything at Tellus has been well thought out. The kids loved every section we went into and they really like all the hands on activities. We will go back.
Dedicated to preserving Georgia’s geological history with an array of locally mined gems and minerals , Tellus also features a collection of vintage cars dating back to 1886. (From Aerial America) Read more

This is a wonderful, hands on museum for kids . You can pan for gemstones, dig for fossils , and excellent collections for adults and kids alike.
Great science museum . The kids touch area was fantastic. Don't miss all the stiff outside.
The Dinosaurs were awesome. The gem mining was fun, too. We had a good time and could have been there even longer.
Really nice science museum with many exhibits , kid & adult friendly . Beautiful campus too.
A replica of the Apollo I capsule, a Mercury capsule and a replica of Sputnik are on display in the Science in Motion Gallery . Be sure to watch one of the many wonderful planetarium shows too! Read more
Fabulous rocks and minerals; astronomy. Cafe . Near the Booth Western Art Museum , which is also a splendid museum .
The collection of minerals is phenomenal. Cool dinosaurs , meteorites, “in motion” items, solar house, and planetarium .
it's not advertised on the website that I could find but Tellus does reciprocal membership admission with other science museums . Bring your card and you should get free admission .
Amazing place, exhibitions are beautiful.
It was interesting. Wish they had more interactive things for kids. My 2.5 y/o had fun, but it is a 45 minute ride for may be an hour's worth of entertainment.
Great place overall...Do not waste your time on the "planet thrill ride " movie in the planetarium . Hopefully some of the other films will be better - be early to sit in the middle!
My kids love this place so much they have field trips here also
Not as great as expected. Went with 6 and 2.5 yr old. They loved the dinosaurs , fossil search and panning for gems.
Great place to visit. Lots of things for all ages of kids. Hands on things for kids to do.

Great exhibits ! Be sure to catch a planetarium show
When in the fossil room, don't be afraid to ask the staff for specific fossils if you can't find what you want.
