Newport Beach Pier

Come at night to watch a lot of people fishing . At the very end of the pier you have a good chance of spotting a sea lion fishing too.

One of the best places for a vacation day. Just forget about work, school, etc. Don't bother packing a lunch because then you'll miss out on the great food places around.

Prepare to stroll on the boardwalk and dine in delight, all while enjoying the view of the water. Take a dip surrounded by lifeguards to indulge in CA’s finest.

Great place to watch sunset , someone needs to update and take over the old Newport Sushi . We need a restaurant back on the end of the pier

Check out all the fishing going on. They usually catch a bunch of fish while you walk out/in. And if you're daring, go underneath the pier for a cool view .

Strolling along the pier is the perfect romantic date idea. Especially at sunset . Make sure to get a kiss from your sweetie for the perfect movieesque moment. ????

By far an away 1 of the greatest piers to spend time on in the OC. Newport put on an amazing fireworks show .

From 1891 to 1907 this area was called McFadden Wharf and used as landing for ships unloading goods. After a storm destroyed the wharf in 1939 Newport Pier was built.

Went surfing for the first time in my life here. Oh the memories!

Beautiful clean beaches with good food around!

Watching the sunset was very relaxing after an exhilarating work week.

Free Parking if you can find a spot on the side street versus paying $1.50 an hour for a meter.

Winter time is so peaceful vs. the hectic summer

The view from the pier is great. It could use some regular power washing. Huntington Beach Pier is much cleaner.

There is a really nice restaurant here. Worth a visit. Good view of the whole of Newport.

Drink lots of water and remember to apply sunscreen to the tips of your ears and nose, too! There’s a way to stay well .

Tamales ? Elotes? Esquites? Just do it. You're welcome.

Don't have change? There's a booth that will turn dollars to coins at the base of Newport Pier . Will save you tons of time scrounging for a quarter here, a quarter there.

Sit over by lifeguard tower 20 to block the wind. But walk further down for less tourist .
