Nice uncrowded beach at the western end of the island . More locals than tourists . Good spot t watch the sun set ????
This beach is small and tucked away so there was not many people when we visited in high season -- hence private and quiet . Love it!
We don't surf , but love snorkeling . Swam out to the closest buoy from shore and then about 100ft to the right spotted a huge sea turtle under some coral! Absolutely incredible!
Check conditions before swimming . Love the west side
Gorgeous white sand beach , surrounded by cliffs and big swells . Where the locals hang, very few tourists .
great area... locals accept and let you know the best spots around town
Mellow night dive in shallow water with a nice little reef offshore and to the left.
Very nice beach , great sand, some locals.
A bit of a locals beach . Weekdays it's fairly empty. If you come between 6-10 am you can find some great local surfing .
Makaha Beach Park is famous for monster swells in the winter, generally the water is safe for most. However, when the surf is large, the water here can be hazardous for novice swimmers and surfers .
Fall & winter surf is a little harsh for swimming but lots of surfers & boogie boarders!
This beach is awesome !

This is a GREAT trail to Mountain Bike on. Moderate in difficulty, but expert in beautiful scenery along the coast. Worth the time to bring or rent a bike! - Nate Andy
Lots of Dolphins and Dolphin excursions around these parts of town. Also, a fair number of Hawaiians in this general area believe in Hawaii Sovereignty. - Derek Kucynda
