During the Advent season, the square in front of Vienna´s symbol, the St. Stephan´s Cathedral , turns into a charming Christmas market , where guests enjoy hot mulled wine , handicrafts and delicacies.
Best place to stroll around, have a coffee or a snack ... Best place to have ice creams and pastries ... Gaze through the glass windows of shops. Always crowded and this is where all fests happen
Very intricately done roof and the building is currently under the process of being cleaned , it's black with decades of dirt but half of it is nice and white again ????

very beautiful cathedral . visited it in the evening and we didn’t get to see the famous scenes the lights of sun make on the windows of the cathedral .
The center of the Pedestranian Street, the main church is located. It is always great, full of people, great for people watching , lots of street musicians . Lots of shops, bars and attractions around.
Lots of big brands and a lot of tourists , make sure you try the street wurst and admire the black plague monument !
The beautiful Stephansdom towers over this area. There's quite a history around/about this Church ... some that not even most Viennese know about. Ah, but I do!
It's a great and very dynamic place to walk and enjoy food or coffee in one of the hundreds of terraces it has.
The climb to the cathedral 's top really took its toll, but we got to one of the most beautiful views on Vienna. Not recommended for claustrophobic persons.
At the Christmas market , go for the gourmet punch stand. Fruit punch gets an official 18/20. Apple punch tastes like liquid apple pie .

As a tourist you must Spend at least 4-5 hours walking , sight seeing and window shopping here, great atmosphere and great history :)

Look for the contours of Virgil Chapel on the pavement and get down to U-Bahn underpass to have a look at this amazing hidden masterpiece underneath the Stephansdom .

Vienna landmark . Definitely a most see. Enjoy the architecture and then have a drink in the many bars that surrounds it!
The scenic views are unbeatable - since it's directly connected to the U-Bahn, do take the time to explore this wonderful architectural square.
I loved the the platz so much because its have a lot of restaurants and coffee shop and a lot of stores.
Coffee break ? - get the best Espresso right at CAFE WEINWURM - there you can admire the Dom in an relaxed atmosphere .
Grab a coffee in any nearby shops, relax and just look people passing near by.

At south tower the is no open view place only small room with souvenirs and binoculars for euros,it is not worth climbing only in case you're fitness fan(343 steps)

Many people do not like Sacher cake. I really like it. And this is the best. Great balance of the apricot jam with the actual cake. And the chocolate ganache is amazing( for me this make it special)! - giota pipi
