Best steaks in Tucson ! Traditional steakhouse focusing on the meat. Wood-fired grill right in the middle of the restaurant . Steak fries were hot and some of the best I’ve had.

Opened as the Pickwick Inn in 1952 The sign’s light-bulb starburst and arrow & brown “stalk” either date to the original 1952 opening or to 1966, when realty records say the building was re-built.

The restaurant changed names in 1980 and became Silver Saddle. Then the plastic parts of the sign were changed to reflect the new business.

The Pickwick Inn had an ugly history as being the one of the last Tucson restaurants allowing racial segregation. It was picketed by the NAACP in 1963.

The prime rib ! Nice salad bar , delicious, best steaks in Tucson !

It was freakin bomb. We had lobster & steak , & crab legs & steak !! It was great!!!

If you like beef then this is one of the better steak houses in the area.

Check the opening time carefully! We came from Phoenix and according to the website it should have opened, but it had closed. Not nice! :(
