Half Price Books is literally my favorite store (all HPB). I could spend half of my life roaming around these stores. I always spend my time in clearance and get lots of books for less than $10.
The Metaphysics, Drug, & Religion sections are good for a new book or two if you stroll in every few weeks or so. No doubt replenished by like-minded individuals that want to pass the resources on.
Try the three used books stores in Bloomfield. HPB is turning into a mass market dump-a-thon like Books a Million.

This place sells awesome used current gen games for $5. Eat your heart out, gamestop.

Don't bother selling books back here, total rip-off as far as value you get back. Prices in the store on books are pretty good though. Buy, but don't sell here
