Cafe Kashkar

I enjoyed Manti, (wet) Gyuro Laghman , and Shashlik on my first visit (dinner ) and the Fried Lagman and Chak Chak for lunch on my second visit. This restaurant brings me back to the cafes of Bishkek.

Uygur and Uzbek food done well ! Their steg lagmon spaghetti was perfectly seasoned. The steamed bread dough with lamb was fresh and flavorful. The french fries were great- freshly cut and seasoned.

the dumplings (manty) are so different from the usual, the lagman, and the soup are all so good. very cozy and comfortable interior.

One of New York's only Uyghur restaurants . Lamb on skewers , lamb in dumplings , lamb in hand-pulled noodle soup , and other recommendable non-lamb things.

The lamb shish kebabs are divine. The carrot salad , manti and lagman are also awesome. This is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC :)

Café Kashkar might be the best Uighur cuisine in the borough. Be sure to try the fried lagman : thick wheat noodles interlaced with onion and peppers and topped with a fried egg .

Look past the shabby décor and dive into a delicious assortment of Kababs , the lamb was succulent. Try the Laghman noodles and the Carrot Salad . BYOB .

Moist dumplings and the hand pulled noodle soup were the best of our order. And the red tea / punch.

The joint specializes in the cuisine of the Uighur people, a Turkic ethnic group. Try the piquant langsai salad composed of bean-thread noodles , fresh veggies and a vinegar dressing .

Try some lamb dumplings . What's that, you don't want lamb ? Well how about some lamb skewers . No? Perhaps a lamb pot pie ? A lamb-stuffed roll? Lamb soup ? Lamb with noodles ? Lamb lamb lamb .

This is a fantastic Uzbek spot in Brighton. Everything is tasty and dirt cheap . Highly recommended!

Get the kebabs and the samsa and eat to your heart’s content.

Delicious. Lagman noodles were great. Manti and carrot salad also yummy.
