If u can't make up ur mind between their special (#1) & mushroom (#2), order #1 ($4) and add $1 of mushroom . Generous but can get "jelak" (over-satiated) over the sweet-tasting bits
Mr Kuribara learnt to make Mee Pok and took over Ah Hoe Mee Pok in Jan 2013. Now it's a family business ! (Source: http://johorkaki.blogspot.com/2015/10/ah-hoe-mee-pok-singapore-clementi-jk1259.html)
Get the $5 BCM, the toppings were generous, noodle springy and the soup delicious. Worth the queue and money
The Sunday Times big "famous" thing about Ah Hoe is that Reina, the 18-year-old Japanese daughter, shares cooking duties. Which is beside the point that the Mee Pok here is good to start with.
Excellent noodle texture . No liver etc - but quality of ingredients is gd. Generous portions even for $4. No Q at 930 am on a Friday! Would hv prefered more vinegar but that’s subjective .
$5 BCM has a chockfull of ingredients but don't expect the traditional taste as there is no liver , no fish wanton , and no ti-poh (dried sole fish).Noodles texture is really well done so kudos to that!
Very generous with the ingredients. Normally you will get a spoon full of minced meat and a few slices of mushroom , but here, you get a SCOOP of each!
We waited for 45 mins on a Sunday morning at 11:30 in the morning. But worth it.
The no 2 mushrooms mee pok was excellent.
Mee kia > mee pok . We usually have the normal bak chor mee and dumpling soup .
Be prepared to queue! Take note that they are closed on Sundays, and by 3pm on other days.
The soup Mee pok is delicious!!!
The Easties have Bedok 85. The Westies have Ah Hoe Mee Pok .
Featured in The Sunday Times on 11 Oct 2015.
Be prepared to queue
We came thrice wanting to try the Jap stall. Bt came wrong timing. Tried the mushroom minced noodles here instead cuz saw it's Jap chef . Wahz... We never regretted it. Damn yummy. Muz try!!
Regular Mee Pok
香菇肉丝面, looks nice
Damn freaking good👍😉
Excellent Mee pok and soup is good too - Julian Si
The hor fun is legendary! The chicken feet is epic!! - Bond Babe
The sauce, the very lean roast pork and the slurpy wonton with crunchy water chestnut inside all make for a fairly unique tasting noodle experience. Just ask the long queues every night! - Robin Goh
I am so blessed to be staying so near this hawker centre! From kway chap, laksa, wanton mee, duck noodles/rice, chicken rice, fish soup to prata, etc! Countless of good foods! Fill with choices! - Cher
