Gusto Pizza Co.

My go-to Des Moines pizza spot when I'm not feeling like soggy cardboard+sauce delivery and want to get out of the house. The pizza is slightly upscale but not intimidating for first-timers.

They have started offering slices during the lunch hour, check their twitter for the two selections. Also available at Hawkeye football games right on Melrose, right across from the stadium .

Great bruschetta !!! 5 out of 5 stars. I would have it again . The pizza is great as well . A perfect meal for any foodie.

One of the best pizza places in town . We love to order gusto for takeout . Upper scale pizza but able to bring home for movie night

Surprised at how good it was. I got one of their lunch specials - small specialty pizza with cup of soup . I told a coworker it was good. I'll be back sooner than later.

A number of great Gusto originals her, but my favorite is the Soprano. Also, get the salad with the house balsamic vinaigrette .

Try the Il Figaro- alfredo , pears , figs , prosciutto (sub mushrooms !), blue cheese and mixed greens; or the Aphrodite- roasted red pep pesto , goat cheese , red onion , fresh basil and balsamic reduction .

The Fromage Blue salad was fantastic and big (we split it)!! Great beer selection too.

Great gourmet pizzas with a seasonal selection , shitty parking at their Ingersoll locale. Watch for their food truck at every major Des Moines event .

I love this place but recommend you ask for a receipt. Twice I've been charged for a more expensive item I didn't order. They always are gracious about refunds but it's a pain. I blame the acoustics .
