A family Ancestor ! Parents going this week to check all things Bogardus (our surname has changed spelling over the years to Bogardis, but we are all apples from the Everardus tree :) )
James Bogardus was an architect first to use cast iron frames to build tall buildings. He is known as the father of the modern skyscraper .
