There was an impersonator there that did a great impression of the "I have a dream speech " and gave a little history lesson of sorts of the place. Overall, a worthwhile stop!

I joined a ceremony out of curiosity. Not being a religious person, I must say I enjoyed it. There was a lot of positive energy. A strong community feeling was noticeable, in an inclusive manner.

If you're visiting the church as part of your trip to the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park , remember to bring cash to make donations for the church and historical programming.

Take a moment to go in and take in the atmosphere. I can only imagine the energy that was present when Dr. King was alive.

Sit in one of the pews and listen to one of Dr. King’s speeches they have on a loop. Gave me the chills.

America's Freedom Church is an awesome place to worship! 8am and 11am services. Come as you are!
