Always make a stop when I'm in town . Great book selection, knowledgeable and helpful staff . This is *the* independent bookstore to find in Iowa.
This store seriously has every novel you could ever ask for. If you are interested having a nice cup of coffee and browsing through some brilliant literature, this is the place to go.
Not far from the University of Iowa, known for its Writers ' Workshop. President Obama stopped by in 2010, and bought books by Eva Ibbotson and Lynn Dornell.
You should look for a copy of "Athens, America" by Larry Brown. (local author ) There is a bookstore in downtown "Athens" called the Prairie Schooner . :)
