Arrived at 5:00 for the burger and was #2 in line for opening at 5:30. Excellent bar service ! “You deserve this” the bartender said as he served the burger to me ???? No detail goes by unnoticed.
Come here early to sit at the bar and get their burger au poivre with a martini or a glass of bordeaux . Old school NYC gem. Sweet seasoned bartenders .
This bistro transports you right to Paris. It's all about their limited availability Au poivre burger , which is in contention for best in the city . The crab beignets and Virgin Mary complete ur brunch
Unassuming French bistro that prob. hasn’t changed much since the ‘70’s. Lively ‘70’s soul music , delicious steak au poivre & veloute soup . You’ll be guaranteed to have a fun time.
Classic French cooking done in a superb way. The scallops especially were a delight as well as the roasted oyster mushrooms . Space is very cozy and it’s always filled so reservations are a must.
I know people go there for the burger (only served at the bar and it is amazing) BUT the cod fish was incredible. It comes with chorizo/potato and spinach side; sounds weird but it was amazing!
Oysters , squash bisque, cod , and creme brûlée perfection- the steak was not as amazing as the hype. The ambiance is lively and our waiter , best ever #raouls #soho #french #bistro #foodie #delicious
I am French and I enjoyed this proper French restaurant . Good wine , legit French food like you would have in Paris. Well executed and professional without being overly fancy .
The au poivre burger is outstanding. It's off-menu, available only at the bar , and available in limited quantities (only about 12 each night). Get there by 5:30 to assure yourself one.
Cute and cozy with great decor, Raoul’s won’t disappoint. The Steak au Poivre is made medium well with a perfect peppery spice in the sauce. It’s a taste that you will be dreaming about for days.

The burger is off-menu, only served at the bar , and they only serve 12 a night. By the time I got there 10 minutes before opening time, every seat at the bar was taken. But it's worth it.
Steak frites are amazing, esp. with house pepper sauce . If they have potatoes aligote, go for them. Corn soup is unique & refreshing. Read this in a French accent, and don't pay the fortune teller.
The burger is super delicious ???? I really enjoyed it. Next time will try the steaks .
Steak au poivre , frisée aux lardons, betteraves au chèvre . All classic French dishes with first-rate execution. Well defined wine list .
As everyone has mentioned the burgers are the best...get there early, it’s worth it! Perfect and casual date spot .
This place serves some perf authentic French food . The steak here with the sauce that's not so greasy like many other place, homemade real French fries and save room for The profiteroles
The off menu burger is all the rave here and for good reason. Limited quantities are made daily. Only 12 Monday to Friday at the bar . 40 for brunch on weekends at the table.
Such great food and nice staff ! The restaurant is small and seating is VERY tight, so be prepared to get bumped into a lot. Get the ham and truffle beignets !!
Burger is now $27. Get there by 4:50-5 to get in on one of the 12. Kitchen opens at 5:30 so have a drink while you wait. Dip that burger . Good but overpriced
Loud , clubby and crowded—and home of one of the most authentic steak frites downtown . A straight classic (despite the untimely removal of Raoul's twin outdoor benches ). [Eater 38 Member] Read more
Cozy and intimate space with an authentic bistro vibe. Service was good as well . The steak au poivre was very good (specially the fries ). Tartar was too small. Wine list was overpriced.
The steak au poivre was great, obviously. Their twist on an Old Fashion is definitely worth trying.
Some of the best French cuisine on the city . The steak au poivre and octopus are to die for.
Au Poivre Burger at the bar is the best! Limited quantity, so arrive early. Steak au Poivre is excellent, too. Chris is a fabulous host and entertainer!
Good place just to have a drink at the bar . (That cash register is still in use!)
If you’re not here for the Burger , then the steak au poivre is a must-eat!
Delicious food & wines & cocktails . Skate (fish ) was delicious, martini was perfect, staff was incredible.
Try not to let the crowdedness of this place scare you off. This is a soho staple and it's amazing. Sit at the bar or get a table in the back. Order everything.
They have double the number of bar burgers on weekend brunch , AND you can sit at tables for it. But only at brunch .
I tried speacial steak with kale , potato and mushroom , it was delicious. Staff was kind and the place is a kind of small but beautiful and romantic .

Steak au poivre one of the best I ever had. Great space service and wine . Hasn’t changed in 30+ years.
Steak Au Poivre .. I mean like as if you had to ask. The steak tartare app is also amazing. Upside down apple cake is seasonal and served hot in a skillet with a side of icecream :)
Pork Schnitzel , Hamburgers , Steak and their sauce with it a few. Don’t miss out to look out their spiral staircase.
Best burger in the city . Worth all of the hype.
A real New York establishment. And for good reason.
Not only the perfect date spot , the food is exactly what it's supposed to be. Service on point.

Crab toast , Steak , the profiteroles. Burger if you're at the bar . Great neighborhood spot with awesome food.
Fabulous vegetarian entree. The rest of my party had the steak au poivre , their signature dish. All enjoyed.
If you are looking for an alternative to their signature steak au poivre , try the Parmesan crusted Pollock! Also, steak tartare with quail egg app was delish!
Esquire: Steak au poivre is great, tequila Negroni even better, but for me it's about the circus . Fortune teller upstairs...
