I don't want to know the nutritional value of a Thai iced tea smoothie . I only want to know how many unicorns gave their lives to make this magical concoction possible.
Loved the tank noodle special and the mango bubble tea ! The appetizer sampler was a great way to start the meal as well . Service suffers due to how the floor is run, but just bring your patience.
Love our waiter . He's the real deal. Sat down next to me while I ordered! Probably wouldn't fly downtown but outside on Argyle, perfect. Ordered the sizzling Crepe , one of my Vietnamese! Delish
Tank Noodle handles the Vietnamese tradition of avocado-as-dessert with characteristic decadence, mixing Haas avocados with sugar and half-and-half to arrive at a lush, pudding-like treat. Read more
Everything is great; #7 appetizer and #40 are our go to’s. Green tea bubble tea ! Always crowded ; inexpensive VN food; Chicago’s best!
Only tried their combo pho , which is good. Generous portion , good food, quick service , good English menu. But there was hair in my water.
A big bowl of Tank’s phở is delicious, but the catfish really gets my taste buds going. If I’m feeling really gluttonous, I’ll get the catfish and pork simmered in a clay pot . Read more
A brightly lit dining room at Tank Noodle for you to fish up tender pieces of beef brisket from your bowl of steaming Vietnamese pho . Read more
After being spoiled by NYC pho for many years, I thought it would be hard to find anything close but Tank Noodle definitely hits the spot.
Uptown's Argyle Street is also known as Little Saigon and Tank Noodle is the crown jewel for its authentic Vietnamese cuisine , especially the various steaming bowls of pho . [Eater 38 Member] Read more
I usually get pho Thai. Their broth is good, and they give you good portion. I especially like their Vietnamese spring roll with Shrimp !
I have been to many Vietnamese places . However, this is still the very best bowl of pho I can find in Chicago. BYOB also
Really liked the #100. Pork chop , egg cake thingy, and rice . All of it delicious. Lime juice and soda drink . $35 paid for dinner for two.
Had the traditional pho and it was delicious - you get so much food I couldn't finish!
It's the most popular place on Argyle, but it's also the most consistent. The phở is always on point.
All done! Best pho is Chicago... And cafe sua da is mighty strong too!
It's always crowded bc their food is great! I always get #43! And their Thai milk tea boba is delicious (easy on the ice though).
¡Best Phö Ga in the history of life! Get a plum bubble tea too!
Don't fret about which Pho number dish to order. It's like ordering pizza . The base - the key part - is the same. Then you just choose your toppings :)
Bourdain praised their spicy pho , but with over 230 dishes on their menu, Tank Noodle has something for everyone (even those that hate the heat). Read more
I think tank noodles serves some of the best pho in the city ,always great for those cold days or hangovers
This is the place I always return to for pho . Love the seating and overall environment.
Large menu, but you have to be kind of adventurous. I chose well and had a good meal, would go back.
Everything is enough to feed two people.. so go there with the mind state of sharing. Order mutiple dishes!
The owner was a part of the superspreader Trump riots in D.C.
No need to doll yourself up on a Saturday night for this humble BYOB . Overlook the less than flattering decor and prepare for aromatic beef pho and other Vietnamese specialties.
Bahn xeo. Amazingly crispy , especially with little bites of crisp pork belly .
The food is great, but service is slowww! Try the lemon grass chicken on rice and sweet and sour cabbage !! Great!
The XL bowl is great to share between two people, but I'm not a fan of the tendon
good noodle , generous portions , little worn out shop though
Best bubble tea in Chicago . Definitely try the matcha green tea flavor .
Bun thit nuong comes with very little bun . Also beware of diff between pork (more traditional prep) and beef (a bit dry and seasoned with lemongrass )
Get there early, like 5:30, to avoid the wait. Still worth it though even if you end up in line .
Delicious green tea , bubble tea . Employee advised us to try it with banana next time:)
Great and authentic Vietnamese food . One Of The best I've been in USA.
The best Pho in town in my opinion. My go to choice is #40!
They play Dj Flipside podcasts here!! Awesome! The pho is good too, but my favorite is the watermelon slush
Best pho in Chicago. Always packed while other restaurant around are nearly empty. Price is good, food is awesome.
The pho is delicious, and the sweetie banana cake is perfect for dessert .
Great service and vast menu. Pho is good but they tend too put too many tendons in with the beef
#43, go with the double order of noodles , 2 spoonfuls of sri racha sauce, and a generous amount of bean sprouts . And a strawberry/pineapple smoothie . Done.
Great place but the vegetarian spring rolls were not that good and the sauce was way too sweet the pho was awesome!!
The food is great, but service is slowww. Try the lemon grass chicken on rice . Awesome!
Everyone knows their Pho rocks. Order a watermelon boba if you desire a super refreshing drink .
The phõ is the best
There is almost always a line . Be patient and you will be rewarded. The pho is amazing.
Theres too much sauce on stir fry veggies ! Good coconut bubble tea
Try the rice dish with grilled pork chop , Chinese sausage and fried egg !!!!!
Best Oxtail Pho , I've ever eaten.
Rashid was an amazing and helpful server. Loved Bo la lot app, and big bowl of rice noodle soup with crab and pork meatballs. Yummmm! Cheap, too. - Meredith A
The Vegetarian/Avocado Vegetarian sandwich is AMAZING. So many unique flavors! Try it with jalapeño peppers for an extra kick, and make sure you skip the mayo. - Paul Tzirides
Pho #55 is amazing. The crab ragoons, fried shrimp, and also the egg rolls were really good!! I enjoyed my experience at le's pho! - Steph O
Baked buns are great but the 粽子 (Chinese tamale) and 荷葉糯米雞 (sticky rice with chicken wrapped in lotus leaf) are the hidden gems - Stan Tran
I always buy Maesri curry paste, Thai chilies, and Thai basil here! - Connie Tzeng
An excellent and authentic place for jazz, but get here early as the place fills up fast. - Joseph B.
