Make a reservation a month in advance. Or show up at 5pm to get in line before they open at 5:30pm for a walk-in seat. Food is amazing! Get the beet , smoldered in ashes, it tastes like candy !

They take reservations in person at 3 pm ONLY. The line forms well before this. Believe the hype on the Agave ribs . They're delicious! The lentils have a sauce that can best be described as crack.

Food was great, excellent steak , tacos , cocktails . What I didn’t like - it is cash only with NO working ATM within walking distance. We ended up paying more. Get a credit card machine, its time!

The hype is real. They take names each day at 3, so get in line by 2 to snag your dinner reservation . One of the most romantic and sexy restaurants ever. Try it all - food and cocktails are amazing!!

It's really worth the wait. Pork empanadas , pork ribs , rib eye , all the salads and the passion fruit drink ...I could go on. Order the sweet potato as a dessert and enjoy the ambience.

Best restaurant by far. Eco! Try Pulpo Plattern (excellent) and the signature dish Costillas al Agave (pork ribs )! Cash only . Arrive at 6pm if u don't wanna wait. Reservations only for parties of 8.

Come early. Try the Pulpo platter 🐙 and the Skirt Steak . For drinks, try the Pineapple habanero margarita (strong) and corn ice cream for dessert ! The BEST meal in Tulum. Worth the $ and hype!

The drinks are great but I recommend the mezcal special (mezcal + grapefruit = incredible). Also, the agave ribs and the yuca mash are delicious. The jicama salad is a great way to start the meal.

still the best in town . the grilled beetroot is still the best. now they take email reservations (like 2wks out), but you can still queue around 5-5:10 for early dinner at 5:30 or wait on a bench

Everything! Ceviche de Caribe, Octupus, cocktails and ice cream . All were delicious ! My husband got in line at 3 pm to get the reservation and was in 8th position. So glad we were able to go!

Best food I've ever had in Mexico. The octopus platter, grilled fish and agave pork ribs are the real deal. Great staff and great experience. Bring cash (lots) because they don't take credit.

If you are anywhere near Tulum, this place is a must. Delicious food, awesome atmosphere, fantastic for a date -and after going just once, I can't stop thinking about it!

Only open Wed.to Sat. Get in line at 2pm to put your name in at 3pm for the same day dinner reservation (no joke). Menu changes daily. Pork empanadas were killer, as was the ceviche and jicama salad .

For sure a must when you're in Tulum. Try the cocktails , ceviches , whole fish , and pork ribs . Oeh and end your meal with the chocolate mousse

My favourite restaurant on Earth!Agave ribs to die for, amazing Octopus , tender steak from the oven with a touch of smokiness. Great cocktails too.Been there 7 times and can't wait to be back to Tulum

Pan-fried snapper , finished in the oven, over local greens and roasted pineapple , with a touch of spice... may be the best food I have ever eaten. Put your phone down. Get on a plane . Go.

The agave ribs are incredible. Good desserts and drinks too! But FYI they don't take real reservations - you have to line up around 2:20 day of and add your name to the list for that night.

The line for reservations opens at 3. People start lining up before 2 to get the good spots. Totally unnecessary: just skip lunch , show up at 3:15, and get one of the leftover 5:30 dinner reservations

Amazing. Totally worth the hype + our 1.5 hr wait. Line up at 5 pm so you can be seated when it opens at 6. Pork ribs were out of this world, as was the skirt steak . Corn ice cream is a must, too!

Simply the best food and service in Tulum. Everything was magnificent. Went back the next day it was that good, in 9 days I stayed nothing best this place for food.

Valentine is the best. And yes the pork is hands down the best, but lets discuss the potatoes in lobster cream sauce that comes with the steak .. And corn ice cream . Unfreaking real.

Octopoda is the way to go.. I can have it 8 days a week.. Fantastic atmosphere, great staff , & even better cocktails and Grub.. WoW.... Brilliant & well Done Hartwood...

hands down, the best restaurant in these parts. must tries: agave pork ribs . yuca a la crema on the side. a gin gin queen as your drink. bring lots of cash.

Amazing ribs and the platanos are a must. Also try the corn and cheese ice cream . Really cute outdoors restaurant . Go early when still light out.

This place does not disappoint. We got the lobster starter then the pork ribs and whole fish . Great vibes as well , place is super lively .

One of the greatest places I've ever been! Try the Agave Ribs (ask for a platano side), the grilled calamari salad & the Papaya Empanadas .

My friends recommended it and of course they were right. The tomato salad was amazing. Either the margarita was very strong or the anti mosquito smoke got to my head. Great atmosphere too.

Their meals were really nice but the portions are very small. i think that this restaurant is nice but not the best restaurant in Tulum . Do not worth to wait that long queue.

We reserved months in advance and it ain't cheap , but the food is phenomenal. The best grilled octopus I've ever had.

Our evening here was rather magic. My only complaint is we felt rushed from course to course. When I joked about it to our waiter , he said just like New York and laughed.

Get in line by 5:45 to get a table at all. While in line , send someone to Le Tente Rose to get mini Coronas to drink while waiting.

Come early (~5:45), stand in line for a bit and eat the best ribs on earth. Even if you're on a tight budget: You don't want to miss this place.

the "it" restaurant down here right now. food was fantastic as was the ambiance and restaurant area. quite a scene (loud music bumping from speakers). Pressure to turn tables was felt though.

The skirt steak , Pork Ribs , and Octopus were amazing. The Wahoo Dip , Cactus , and Calamari were not too shabby either. Great food, booze, and service.

Lovely setting but the bullshit NY door policy makes this a no for me. The kitchen looks awesome and the wait staff are mostly good but they try to hard to move you on too soon. Food was good not fab.

we ate at 5 different restaurants in Tulum and nothing came close. the skirt steak was as good as I've ever had and the pineapple habanero margs are tasty and potent.

Service was great- food fresh, ambiance lively and adorable. Not completely sure it’s worth the hype but worth a stop.

We had to wait 40 mins for our reserved table. Startes were great! Main courses were average. Too salty steak , chewy octupus, fish in too much oil, very heavy way to serve fish . Just one restroom .

After 2 weeks in Mexico, Hartwood took home the price of serving me the best meal on the trip. Go there if you're in the neighberhood.
