Well to start off with the service. What a great team Ted has here. The house recommended wines by glass or bottle are comprehensive, start here if you have any doubt what to pick in your price bracket.

Everything besides one dessert was amazing. Elk tartare foie gras app was a flavor explosion. Vs subtle flavors of Crab app. If order both, eat the crab first. Chorizo and pork belly stew excellent.

Alta Bistro emphasizes local, ethical, and sustainable food wrapped up in a modern French bistro cuisine menu. For my starter, I couldn’t resist the Alberta elk tartar and duck liver parfait . Read more

This place rises above the rest in Whistler Village . What a treat. Try the killer Bergamot house cocktail to start - a fresh and bright treat with a hint of Earl Grey tea peeking thru.

In off-season, check for the prix fixe menu--it's often deeply discounted if you start your meal before 6:15.

The $33.00 three course meal is an incredible deal. But you must order before 18.15, so make reservations for 18.00. You get the choice of most of the menu.

Outstanding ribeye . Also loved the elk tartare . Only a few draught beers but good wine list .

Bill Hicks

The food is amazing! Drinks are fantastic! Only down side is you can't use a visa gift card to pay. It's still worth a visit though.

Beware: Everything on the menu is deceiving, but a very hit or miss restaurant . Ask questions and read the fine print . The elk and squash soup were satisfactory, everything else was meh.
