Love the migas and "the scrambler." Coffee is always good and refills abundant. Expect a wait on weekends, but it's worth it. This place is family owned and knows their regulars well .

This is more of a "sit down and have breakfast and leave" kind of place than a "sit down and do work with coffee " kind of place. But the breakfast tacos are truly yummy.

Hand’s down, favorite café in Austin! Matt and team are amazing! Be sure to put your name on the list on the counter during high traffic. Café Java is epic and the board specials are always great!

I was there last night with a friend, and got their Monday burger special to go for my boyfriend. It was an hour before I got it home, and the egg was at perfection. These guys continue to amaze me.

There's usually a wait, but the service and food have always been worth it. The Huevos Benedict isn't on the menu anymore, but they'll make it for you.

Always outstanding - whatever the wait (and there usually is one), it's worth it. If you order the migas , sub out the cheddar cheese for queso - makes it even better in my opinion.

Best place to have breakfast in North Austin. Try Phily Omelete and let them but chicken instade of steak and enjoy.

Everything is good here and the service is very fast and friendly ! Definitely worth stopping in to!

Best breakfast tacos ! And you can add pretty much anything for a few cents extra. Long lines for weekend brunches though.

Their omelets are great, all of them. I like trying their specials along with the bourbon pecan pie .

I went in for a Cafe latte and it was pretty much undrinkable. It was super busy for the food, but the coffee is a hard pass for me.

Tacos Dorados: absolutely amazing! Rice mixed with small corn and peas along with beans made for great sides! The pork tacos came flowered with shredded green, diced tomatoes and cheese to top it. ????

Every time I go there. It's always crowded and people are great.... What I like is the food specials. I always go for that.

Migas are awesome! Bacon is crispy but not burnt. Hashbrown is perfectly prepared, crispy shell and soft middle. Not too oily either.

Great neighborhood cafe . Get there early on Saturday mornings to get a seat. Biscuits & Gravy -awesome!

Introduced to this place in 1998 and keep coming back. NEVER had anything here but breakfast ! Their tacos are the best in Austin. Avoid their bathrooms , though...

The Java Breakfast can't be beat. 2 eggs , hash browns , bacon , toast & coffee for $6.25 (or around that). Been a staple of mine for years. And the people there rock!

GROSS! Ordered then immediately left. Waitress flossed five feet away from me, then moved to the kitchen while flossing, puts floss in pocket, grabs menus, greets customers. No handwash. Mngr shrug.
