One dish worth getting here, the unfortunately named “Fly Heads” is really a delicious heap of Chinese watercress and ground pork…our guess is the dish’s crunch inspired the name…enjoy!
Reasonably priced, open 'til 2:00 AM, and sporting a voluminous menu that rewards the adventurous, I beseech you to find a more magical place in Elmhurst.
I've been here 14 times & have tried 12 dishes. LOVED: 1) Shredded Pork & Bamboo Shoots over Rice 2) Clams with Basil . FAILED: Shredded Beef & Celery over Rice . See Top 10 dishes on Foodmento: Read more
Order the stinky tofu ! And always bring cash! I love this as the best chinese food in Elmhurst area. Given its taiwanese style , all foods are tastier than other chinese resto. The others are plain
LOVE all dishes here. Reminds me of grandma's kitchen. Def my comfort food goto place. Parking in the back, clutch!
This place is packed all the time because of it quality food. Anything you ordered, it would be amazing in taste. My recommendation chilly beef with Rice .
Beef & tomato over rice is alright...it does taste homemade tho. Pork chop over rice is great, so is preserved veg . & shredded pork noodle soup . My friend liked her beef w/chili pepper noodle soup .
Winner of Best Taiwanese in the Village Voice 2011 Best Of issue! Get the pork roll - actually more of a Taiwanese meatball !
Get the oyster pancake , 3 cup chicken and watercress with beef . Sweet and sour pork isn't that good so skip that!
Try the Pork Chop over Rice - #Taiwanese #food rocks!. (via @Foodspotting)
Tried the niu rou mian -- a Taiwanese staple. However, no chiles in broth, pickled veg was swt not sour -- threw off the flavor. Ah well , will come back to try other dishes i hear they are good.
Pork and beef with scallions were yummy. This place was a great surprise.
Favorite late night haunt for home style , no fuss Taiwanese staples.
Liked the beef noodle soup , the fried chicken , and the basil clams . Shoulda skipped on the fried squid .
Get the crispy skin tofu ! We always go for the beef w/ basil . Sweet n sour pork is different from the Cantonese style . Yum!

Best Chinese food ever
pork chop over rice !
must try all authentic Taiwanese cuisine and delicious snacks !
If u like spicy foods , definitely try the beef with chili over rice ...
It's the best Taiwanese restaurant in NYC!!!
Food here is hit or miss. My last meal was uninspiring, just edible. The place rests in its laurels of yesteryear. Service here is brusque.
Must order: Tomato & beef over rice and oyster pancake :)
Basil chicken is the freaking best.
Never order take-out here; rice doesn't come with an entrée and the containers are so small that the portions do not compare to dining in.
The food is really good. the only thing that i hate about this place are the cranky waitresses . If they're in a bad mood, u'd surely get a rude customer service. 1 reason why id rather not eat here.????
Pork chop over rice
Try the pork chop over rice its the best.
Terrible, horrible food. Not one good dish. Such a waste of time and money. The best was the free cabbage salad they gave out before our dishes came out. Next came the horror.
Love baby conch w/basil!
Not your regular Chinese restaurant .
The food is okay & the service was okay.
Can't go wrong with pork chop over rice . Unless you don't eat pork . =D
Pig kidney. Trust me.
Just go somewhere else!!
Minced pork with basil is #1, three cup chicken, beef with scallions. This place is shared tables, no frills, cheap, cheerful and authentic. Great spot for solo or group lunching and dining. - Diane Lucille Suarez
Taiwanese beef noodle soup has some of the most tender stewed beef I've had. Each table comes with pickled mustard greens- and beef scallion rolls are delicious. - Natalie Yuen
Recommended: the combo of chicken, squid, and beef. Try the chili dip. Absolutely delicious! - Karen
Download their app to earn free drinks! Get their signature king fu milk tea & add boba or my fave, nata jelly. Store keeps you cool in the summer & warm in the winter. - Kimmie Ohh
The cafe offers a variety of drinks, savory food, and plenty of deals and item combos. Bring a friend and try their Mango QQ or their traditional bubble milk tea. - Lori Luo
Their fries are my favorite and their passion fruit tea with no bubbles. I honestly don’t like bubbles, but their tea is still amazing without them! - Angel Kinney
