Classy , but not stuffy American restaurant . High attention to detail, superb food, and attentive service .

The stocky smoky beef rib is outstanding but it is huge: best shared between two people.

The place is beautiful. Get the shrimp a la plancha and the snapper . The shrimp and its sauce are awesome! Skip the agnolotti - the description sounds great, but they're a bit disappointing.

Very River Oaks. Probably a bit heavy on the rich foods. Bacon fat this, foies gras that, Duck carnitas , etc but it sure is tasty! Pasta dishes are not to be missed!

Lobster hushpuppies with cane syrup butter are a great appetizer .

Strongly recommend the Oak Roasted Oysters appetizer--the bone marrow butter is insanely good.

Gorgeous bar and raw bar . Cocktails change often but are outstanding.

Very good $1 gulf oysters during happy hour . Complimentary cookies when you’re done.

Hushpuppies (crab cakes ) to start and the smoked oysters : awesome
