Immigration PVG T1 is a border crossing Pǔdōng Pudong located in China.
Terminal 1 , Pǔdōng Pudong Shanghai China
Tip: always pick a line with a female immigration agent, they’re always faster than the guys!
Scan your fingerprints in the terminal and fill out the yellow arrival card before getting up to the window. Everyone will be mad if you hold up the giant line .
Arriving from US flight? The line for short term 24,72 and 144 hours visas is the longest. We waited more than 1 hour.
For short term transit visa you need the blue form, not the yellow one they will you give you in the plane .
If you’re a long term expat with a residence permit (here for work, study, etc.) make sure to sign up for e-channel. It’s life changing!
Make sure you have all of your external batteries , backup camera batteries easily accessible. The look at each one to make sure it is in compliance.
They are very interested in umbrellas (will ask you to open it) and portable phone chargers put it out to avoid any delay
Be prepared, the line can be long
Absolutely ridiculous wait times.. there are at least 300 people in line and 2 immigration officers at 5:00 PM on a Friday. Budget at least 2 hours for the wait.
Please do not forget to prepare DEPARTURE card. Many people not prepare it and get trouble.
Allow plenty of time to clear Immigration & Security. They are very slow
Always crowded ...long queue
Don't forget your immigration departure card.
Well organized !!... Congratulations!!.
Needs finger print registration
Yayers from plane to baggage in 8 mins . Getting better this pvg
Bring your passport :-)
Full plane means at least 30’ to wait
So long lines ....
Long queues ????
Immigration dept. sucks, waste a lot of time, never seem this slow in EU or USA.
