During busy times of the year, eat at the counter when you don't have a reservation . In my opinion, this is the best place to watch the master chefs teaching their students prepare everything.
Attend cooking demonstrations , visit the Vintners Hall of Fame, join in on a Wine Exploration classes , or take part in a wide range of food enthusiast courses – a visit here is a food freak’s dream!
The store has cookbooks ,culinary gadgets, spices, schwag, student made chocolates-they actually make their own chocolate , 1 is made w/honey from bees they keep, a chocolate tasting, an olive oil tasting
Amazingly crafted dishes with interesting favors. Their wine selections are top-notch and the best thing on the menu is the chocolate lava cake .
Cafe is great. Dinner is always good. Fun to do dessert here if you don't want to throw down a ton for dinner .
The restaurant is under renovation at the moment...shame they didn't try to up the offer in the cafe at this time. The food was good but very limited. The building and grounds are always worth a stop.
Try 5 different beers ! Forget wine tasting .. Finally a place for the guys to drink beer !
Check out the massive corkscrew & wine key collection to the right, just inside the main doors
After visiting the CIA head south on Hwy 29 & make a left at the 1st light: Fulton Lane and discover a secret little winery making just Petite Sirah from 150 year old vineyards ! No appt needed Fri-Mon
The shop at Greystone has every kitchen gadget one could need. Make sure to check out their amazing cookbook selection as well .
Cool gift shop where you can peer into the cooking classes through glass walls , also some cool displays like old corkscrews
Ask for Edgar as your server. Very attentive and great memory of returning guests.
Great place to stop for lunch during a wine tour . Dinner on the weekend is expensive .
If you're looking for food, the restaurant is closed whenever the students are away. But the café is always open for light snacks .
Best meal ever! Period! Love the open kitchen .
Wonderful culinary items in the store, classes , historical items. I never tire of going there when in St. Helena!

Good lunch options in the cafe . Easier than the formal setup.
JP recommends the dead mussels . & I got an amazing veggie tasting appetizer !
The duck was delicious!!

Great food, very creative and inventive! :) loved tge gift shop :)
Front desk doesn't know about their own restaurant . When asking about is reservations are needed, they said no. Get there and the restaurant said reservations are needed. Extremely disappointed.
Great food, crappy service, and don't wait for an outdoor table ...the fly/bee situation is out of control, and no one seems to care. Too many other great places in Napa to dine.
Take one of their cooking classes , definitely worth it.
Check out their cooking demonstrations .
Check out the CIA video on the Napa Valley Wine Tour app for iPhone from Amicis Tour and and Sutro Media.
Try the Strawberry Shortcake and the Lava Cake . Such a nice dessert !
Everything is delish
We are a local craft distillery , and many of our spirits are featured here - ask about Charbay!

The food is incredible and the store is amazing!
Sit at the bag and watch the masters in the making at work!!
The sampler portions have become tiny and definitely not worth it. Menu changes every week so lookout for what's offered before going otherwise you might be disappointed.
The salt is there for a reason...use it.
Got to check out Brother Timothy's corkscrew collection
The other CIA
Suxxx!!! If u dont eat starter they dont give the main course. Bull shit..
Food is extremely over priced and the serve is even worse. Avoid this place like the plauge.
Bem interessante ver os alunos cozinharem. A comida estava gostosa.
Simplesmente incrível
Maravilhoso
なんでも美味しいです。
Não vá acreditando em nada gourmet. Comi um frango velho igual KFC, molho te tomate pior que CICA (do elefante). O risotto passou do ponto . Só a cerveja salvou. Eu ficaria nas entradas.

Very excited to be up there in 2012, pouring with #PATELNapa Valley, among such an esteemed group of wineries! - Ken Nicholas
