Музей присвячений найстарішій пошті у Східній Європі та історії розвитку поштової справи на Галичині загалом. Музей розташований в Палаці Бандінеллі, що на площі Ринок, 2 В грудні 2008 року у Львові відбулося урочисте відкриття Музею пошти.
