The Host Fine Indian Cuisine

I've had a LOT of Indian all across the GTA and went to The Host on a very high recommendation from a co-worker. While it was good, very good actually, it didn't quite meet my expectations.

Weekday lunch buffet till 3pm - $18. Promo: $15 on Monday & Tuesday. Good value - 4 non veg items, chaat , fruit , dessert & ice cream etc. Most dishes are OK, some are good

They're pretty innovative, with jackfruit curry . The tandoori chicken was also pretty moist. There was also one live station with jalebi (fried dough ).

Papri chaat is bomb! Goat karaii was tender and amazing, saag paneer was velvety is perfect, great restaurant !

Good place... If your waiting in the line at the lunch rush try skipping the line for a specific food you want.. Butter chicken recommended

The lamb roganjosh and butter chicken were both delicious!

Great Indian food and really worth it if you get a gift card at the grocery store - $50 for $39? Yes please

Went on Saturday but selection not as good as precovid weekday, but there aren't many other buffets now - good for them! Food still good, good service from Mamoun (sp?).

Thought it was retarded the way you line up for food... The nan breads awesome, not really spicy ... Can't go wrong with the butter chicken

During covid, lunch buffet is on Friday to Sunday. $20.99 on Friday, $24.99 OK weekends

Delicious indian food with real spicy taste

Food is good. Service is also good. Try Mango Lassi together with main dishes.

Good authentic India cuisine... Pricey ... But nice food.

The food's taste seems to have gone down and is on the spicer side:/ But I'd agree with most ppl; the naan is good!

Lunches . Are better. You have big selection and you see what you eating.

Butter chicken is too tomato-ey. Naan bread baskets are wicked cool

Ask for pitcher of water to stay on the table because food is hot and you will need lots of water but service is very poor. They come every 15 min

Service is very slow here and the food isn't that great. The chicken is always dry, no matter what. I will not come back here for sure. Bombay Bhel across the street is 10 times better.

Food is extremely hot even butter chicken

My bf ordered a Sprite and they said they ran out. How can a big restaurant like this run out of Sprite?!

terrible service selection is minimal and when I asked to break a $20 they offered me a saran wrapped ball of change... will never go back to this MSG infested place!

Pretty disappointed....the place closes for lunch buffet at 3 pm even on a weekend and we were here by 2.45pm and denied service after traveling approx. 50 kms. I highly doubt if we will return here!

Avoid this place. The service is poor, waiters take forever to get your bill, and flies were buzzing around during the lunch buffet . It used to be a high end Indian restaurant — but not anymore.

They put to much MSG or salt in there!!! Was so thirsty after!
