Bartenders will introduce you to booze you hated and will make you love it. Kitchen is amazing. So much is made in house, especially the syrups . Quality place for happy hour and every hour.
I rarely do these and the ribeye was more than worth writing about. Dry-aged 40 days, in-house to boot. Cooked over flame and finished in their brick oven . One of the best pieces of beef in PDX.
Passes the good Italian restaurant test w/ flying colours: delicious, thin pizzas , equally delicious pasta and classic Italian desserts . The negroni of the month never fails to impress.
Ordered the gnocchi made of semolina flour. Baked and very soft, with a sauce surrounding the gnocchi . Menu seem to change throughout the week. Not your traditional gnocchi but it was delicious!
Intensely regional Italian food , wood-fired oven pizza , and a totally accessible menu make Cathy Whims (once of Genoa) the most renowned female chef in Portland. [Eater 38 Member] Read more
Great food, great decor, great service... we love getting food here family style and sharing with everyone.. especially the bistecca!
9pm and after is a late night “happy hour ” menu. $8 pasta and pizzas , $5 antipastis , $25 bottles of wine . The pizza crust here is preeeetty close to NYC standards
The salumi pizza is amazing. Pies come unsliced with pizza scissors, which is kind of awesome. ✂️
Really nice fresh pasta with seasonal ingredients . Pictured: goat cheese stuffed pappardelle with cherry tomatoes .
The cheese plate was amazing. The ravioli was ok. The Caesar salad was overpowering. The porterhouse pork chop was fantastic. The strawberry rhubarb crisp is the best - order it for sure!
Great Italian. A little upscale . Chef Cathy Whims has been nominated for the James Beard Award for the Northwest 5 years in a row. Get the budino for dessert . It's deliciously rich.
Dew drop spritz was a fine drink and we loved the leek and potato soup as well ! Good place for vegetarians too
The Happy Hour (starts at 9PM) is a steal with drinks & snacks (We love the Charcuterie ) for $5 and under.
One of the best Negronis in Portland + amazing pizza . Get that Nostrana radicchio salad ! Fantastic.
Have Farmhouse Dinner before they take it off menu . And ala carte -- try the Honey Pinenut Tart . First bite, the honey experience explodes on your tastebuds then lingers with the essence of pinenuts.
First off, the pizzas are to die for. No better crust in the world, Then there is an an amazing executive chef , unbelievable deserts , a Tagliata that is amazing, unique wines and regularly changing fl

Excellent food. Try the Orange wine . The pizza is phenomenal. Don't leave without dessert and repent!
Fantastic pizza . Great menu everyday. great staff and could not be more kid friendly ! Lucky to have them in Portland.
Chef Cathy Whims serves up perfect oven-roasted pizzas (which is based on a venerable sourdough brought over form Nice), elegant hand-wrought pastas , lusty Italiante steaks , and fire-baked fish dishes
Right on: Quality of food from start to finish was superb. Definitely my favourite restaurant in Portland .
Think wood-fired California designer pizza , by way of fine Oregon farmers. New Yorkers may cringe, Italians may flee, but Sarah Minnick and oven man James Albee bust out some of the tastiest, most sat Read more
Go after 9 to Nostrana's late "happy hour " for $5 Pizza . This is one of the best restaurants in Portland , can't go wrong
Happy hour 9-10. Wood fired and orange wine . Ask how the orange wine is aged!
Gnocchi Thursday's and delicious pizza . They charge a $25 corking fee for bringing your own bottle of wine which is pretty crazy.
The pizza alone is worth the price of admission. Great atmosphere and service.
Sit at the pizza counter. Diavolo pizza with arugula . Chocolate budino with the dessert wine pairing . You're welcome.
From @mrgan: "Very nice slightly-upscale Italian. Pizzas and insalata Nostrana are ace. The best Italian spot in town ."
The food here is very good! I’d rather go for the regular menu instead of Happy Hour
Happy hour is great! Pizza margarita and the house wine . Reasonably priced and delicious!
You must get the chocolate budino . No questions asked. :)
The cheese appetizer and all of the pizzas !
Killer wood fired everything and really nice wine/cocktail list.
