Great store since the remodel but Thelma and Jim B still need a little customer service training . Otherwise, good store for the essentials.
Check the expire labels here-mgt needs to train the floor staff to scoop up the old items!
It is DC so bring your own bag. Though no discount for doing so!

YUCK! The first and last time I will visit this Safeway..I was in a pinch so it was closer than going to Georgetown, but this Safeway is old, and the food looks like it has been there for years! Ew!
Avoid the donuts . They always have flies on them :-/
Get the meat from the deli !
The checkout staff is profoundly slow and consistently unfriendly
